Bright And Cheery Wedding in Blue And Yellow

Share

three generations of wedding gowns

This next beautiful wedding that we have for you really highlights the importance of family in the newlyweds lives. Important family elements could be seen in every stage of the wedding — from three generations of wedding gowns while getting ready to images of their parents and grandparents wedding days on display down the ceremony aisle.
Cute yellow and blue accents made the day bright and cheery, while all of the DIY items from family and friends filled it with love. Don’t miss any of the darling details Alea Lovely Fine Art Photography captured of this bright and cheery wedding by taking a look at the full gallery here.

From the Groom:Lizzie had the idea long ago to have her grandmother’s, mother’s and groom’s mother’s dresses sit side by side on wedding day. Between both of our parents and grandparents, there are 127 years of marriage, love and wisdom.

We also had pictures from our parents, grandparents and great grandparents from each of their wedding days lining the ceremony aisle. All of the picture frames we used were hand-picked and refurbished to fit what we had in mind. My dad hand-built the arbor under which we were married, as well as tree branch votive holders and our maple cake stand. Our good friend handmade the bow ties that the men wore.

We fell in love early-on with the idea of getting married outdoors in a woodsy setting, as it just fits our personalities. The red barn feel of Ironwoods Lodge fit this bill perfectly. And since Rusty is a photographer himself, we had a wonderful dream team of vendors (read: close friends); we felt we were in the best hands throughout the day. Lizzie’s mom customized our cake toppers to match our attire.
