Modern Elopement at Chateau De Garde: Moody, Unique, and Romantic

Share

Romantic bride and groom embrace with vibrant bouquet at wedding

The concept for this shoot was an elopement for a fun-loving couple who wanted to celebrate their love in a modern and unique style. We chose our venue, Cheateau De Garde, for its stunning interior design which was the perfect fit for the couple. The chateau is set amongst the vineyards close to St. Emilion near Bordeaux in France making it the perfect elopement spot with international travel within such close reach. Best Events Company planned every detail of this elopement inspiration and Through The Glass Paris was there to film as this inspiration came to life. All the images are in the full gallery, so be sure to click through those and – in the meantime – keep scrolling to hear more about how this shoot came together.

Planned by luxury event organizer, Best Events Company,  in conjunction with styling from brand stylist India Bottomley, we wanted to create a moody modern look that would suit our models and the couple we had dreamt up in our minds when curating each of the stylistic elements. Our models  Andrea and Seb were the perfect fit for this vision, with their bubbly personalities shining through in the photos and video from the day.

Styling for the event took centre stage for the ceremony and meal setups. We opted for modern florals with a gypsophila floral installation on two perspex columns. The table was styled around the beautiful stationery designed and provided by LR Stationary, incorporating modern florals, a statement vase, and pink sand that we used to create a table runner. The styling was at the forefront with the cake designed and desserts baked by talented local bakery, the  Little Cake Sisters.

Disco balls were a key feature for the styling too, and red love heart balloons completed the fun and down-to-earth feel we were looking to achieve. The styling was topped off with beautiful couture wedding gowns from  Alon Livne White and bridal shoes and boots by  Freya Rose London to add an extra level of refinement.

Alexia Bigaud-Morin, the hair and make up artist for the event, created a fresh look that is ideal for a modern bride by pairing glowy skin with smoky eye makeup and relaxed windswept hair, which complimented  Andrea’s personality. In turn,  Seb’s edgy style was embodied in a pale pink suit jacket, grey trousers and leopard print accessories by  Le Colonel.

Our highly skilled photographers and videographers Linh & Duc from Through The Glass Paris captured the vibe of the day just perfectly. From intimate getting ready shots of the couple with Andrea dressed in a boudoir gown and cheeky bloomers from  71bis. Right through to the couple driving off in an iconic French Citroen DS that complimented the colour scheme with its red leather interior and a red hood.
