Eloping used to mean throwing on any LWD from your closet and skipping up the steps of your local city hall on a whim–not anymore. Elopements have turned into full-on weddings, but it’s just the two of you (and hopefully some killer vendors that will make it all happen). These two decided to do an elopement road trip along the coast of California and the result is a laid-back affair with a breathtaking view! And, a vintage convertible and a spicy lace jumpsuit give this elopement a sexy edge that we live for!
Oak Image followed the couple on their romantic drive and stole candid shots whenever they could. The California sun and the waves crashing against the cliffs made for some epic photos, but some of our favorites are of the twilight ceremony with the glowing arches! ENDLESS LOVE
There’s something so magical about eloping on the California coast where the sun kisses the endless beautiful coastline and the wind blows through your hair. Carli and Mikey drove up, in a 1969 Mercury Cougar Convertible, to the iconic Bixby Bridge in Big Sur overlooking the emerald and turquoise ocean. Carli wore an embellished beaded and embroidered mesh white jumpsuit with trimmed lace cuffs and hem by Zhivago paired with a stylish rose gold strappy heel, the perfect modern bridal attire to make her feel like the most beautiful version of herself. This was the perfect setting for their pre-wedding celebration.
A TWILIGHT CEREMONY
For their twilight ceremony, they drove to the cliffs and shared an intimate and private vow and ring exchange. Carli wore a soft and romantic wedding gown by Rue De Seine delicately embroidered with flowers and organic lines, embracing her inner goddess. Their elopement ceremony was nothing but magical! They illuminated the sky with a beautiful neon light backdrop that radiated along the cliffs. This inspired elopement is the perfect way to say “I do” for the couple looking to marry on their own terms.
