While the interior of this villa on Lake Como is surely breathtaking, it would be a shame not to take full advantage of this venue’s spectacular exterior…so, that’s just what this team did! Starting with portraits in the garden, then on to a lakeside ceremony framed by a stunning floral arch, and ending the evening with a romantic boat ride on the lake…this wedding inspiration is simply a dream! With COVID-19 threatening to shut down indoor affairs once again, outdoor destinations are having their time to shine and baby, this one sparkles!
When Edelweiss Weddings set out to create this romantic inspiration shoot, only one venue would do, Villa Balbiano. Della Bella Fiori created these whimsical florals like this stunning cascading bouquet and the ornate floral arch. THE FAIREST OF THEM ALL
There are multiple stunning villas in this region, but one of them, Villa Balbiano, is a very special, majestic venue. When you are there, everything that you saw earlier is erased from memory, the impressions and emotions are absolutely overwhelming. This is the place where dreams come true. Let’s imagine a story of the lovely couple, Charlotte and William, who came from another continent to celebrate their destination micro-wedding at this marvelous place. The atmospheric images from Kir & Ira Photography help us to see this fantasy in all its glory. The wedding agency, Edelweiss Weddings, developed a stunningly delicate concept for this Italian elopement.
A BEAUTIFUL BACKDROP
The main colors of the wedding were shades of pink combined with snow-white. Refined invitations by Edelweiss Cd, printed on the snow-white cotton paper depicting the wedding venue added an artistic touch to the whole picture. Florist Della Bella Fiori wanted to create something that permeated every detail, without sharp domination. As a location for the ceremony, we chose a place in front of a stunning landscape of the lake in the mountains. Our Charlotte and William looked like something out of a fairytale under the airy floral arch and the endlessly beautiful Lake Como that surrounded them. What could be more romantic than this picture in the wedding album?
SOME CUSTOM THREADS
Now let’s speak about the style of our newlyweds. Charlotte’s dress from Italian designer Antonella Lepriero and was created just for this event. It was designed to overlap with the Villa Balbiano’s graceful settings. The dress is very practical as it transforms to meet the bride’s needs at various points of the day. For her bridal portrait session in the garden, she wears an airy tulle skirt over the dress. But, for the ceremony, the dress turns into a restrained, fitted silhouette that perfectly flatters the figure of our bride. Such a stunning dress requires shoes to match. Elegant wedding heels from Bella Belle Shoes fit perfectly into Charlotte’s image and the general style of the day. The bride’s jewelry from Della Bella Gioielli is delicate and sophisticated, like Charlotte herself. There was no doubt when it came to dressing William. What could be better for a groom than a smoking jacket from the historic Italian atelier Sanvenero Cerimonia, which has been dressing aristocratic men since 1880?
DREAM ON DREAMERS
Our imaginary Charlotte and William became the heroes of the picturesque movie about a love that can bridge any distance and circumstances on behalf of a dream. After the ceremony and a breathtaking walk along the lake, Lake Como Boats awaited our heroes to sweep them off into their happily ever after. We encourage you to never stop dreaming–your wedding too can become the embodiment of all the charm and romance that exists in the world.
