Inspired by an Italian International Women’s Day Tradition, this team of creatives designed an entire inspiration shoot around the bright mimosa flower. Tiny tufts of the sunniest yellow you’ve ever seen cluster together to form a voluminous explosion of color and texture, almost eliminating the need for greenery. The bright color of the florals is even more pronounced against the gleaming white accents, giving this wedding inspiration a bright and modern feel. To keep the overall feel warm and inviting, this team softens the theme by mixing clean lines, deckled edges, and wiry stems.
S and M Weddings beautifully captured all of the different elements of this inspiration shoot. There’s no denying that the florals by Momenti Floreali are front and center in this shoot, and it’s easy to see what was so inspiring about these flowers in the first place. A RARE FLOWER FOR WEDDINGS
On the eighth of March, people around the world celebrate International Women’s Day. In Italy, it’s customary to give mimosa flowers. Outside of this occasion, these flowers are not used much, but it was these very flowers that inspired us! This unusual flower and the color yellow (a little-used color for weddings) were the jumping-off points for our vision of a modern wedding, with essential and elegant lines flanked by Dutch poppies and daffodils flowers. The fragrance of these flowers created an amazing atmosphere. In these difficult times, we needed to create something beautiful to allow ourselves to dream again!
A MODERN BACKDROP
We chose to shoot at a modern photographic studio. It is an old industrial building with huge windows that filter the warm light. We decided to combine simple white ceramic tiles with a clean design for the table to give more contrast. For the stationery, Mogu Weddings used natural papers with irregular edges, lacquer waxes, and flower embellishments for an even more romantic and innovative touch. The look is modern minimalism mixed with romantic touches of elegance and ethereal décor. The cake was painted like a picture with a simple yellow glaze, in keeping with the rest of the details and it was delicious!
A STRONG LOOK
We wanted to give a strong romantic and dreamy vision of a modern bride with this wedding dress by Tulle Sposa: a two-piece ensemble with a clean and simple skirt embellished with a beaded bodice. Tulle Sposa offers alternative wedding dresses that have a contemporary elegance but are no less sophisticated and elegant. We gave our model a fresh makeup look and natural hair.
