Without a cloud in sight and pretty much a rain-free wedding day guarantee, what better location for a wedding than a desert? Hear us out…true it can be hot in the desert…like really hot, but there are also some seasons where it can be chilly too, and if you plan it just right, there’s a sweet spot in the day where it is like room temperature outside! Plus, you can’t beat the natural light for photos…just take this Las Vegas desert shoot, for example; these photos are glowing!
These bright and cheery photos by Fig + Willow Studios could put anyone in a good mood. Simply Elegant by Diana planned every detail of this wedding inspiration, which is no small feat, especially in the middle of a dried-up lakebed! Blooms By Sirce created these tropical florals that bring this shoot to life! SOMETHING DIFFERENT
We wanted to do something that contradicted each other–and what elements say different things more than “tropical” and “desert”?! In our efforts to provide levity to the fiasco that was 2020, we wanted to put together a rad shoot that showcased how unique and chic Las Vegas Weddings can be–no Elvis in sight and far from cookie cutter. There was utmost care put into every detail of this shoot from the socks of the male model to the tropical pillows that brought the tablescape together.
We had some seriously cool vendors–a live wedding painter, champagne tuk-tuk, handcrafted popsicles, a luxury picnic setup, and more. The location was very intentional–the El Dorado Dry Lakebed is a completely blank slate and is perfect to bring any vision to life.
A DEBUT GOWN
As for the wedding dress, it is the newest dress in the Vow’d Weddings collection, titled “Whimsical”, and is the first time it’s been photographed! It features intricate details and layers of chiffon. Vow’d is the newest company in the Altar’d State family.
FOCUSING ON WHAT MATTERS
The ceremony setup was very luxe and provided a beautiful contrast to the brown cracked earth of the lake bed. With lush overflowing florals and ghost chairs that faded into the scenery, the copper arch was allowed to shine; it was truly awe-inspiring.
