The Inspiration
Dani of Salt & Stem, an incredible floral artist wanted to celebrate her one year anniversary in business. She’s already had a feature in Vogue. She’s going to be a big deal, we know. The inspiration from this shoot is heavily rooted in the location. The agave plants right before the beach boardwalk called to both of us.
I created a vision board that heavily referenced desert elopements. I wanted a wild yet refined elopement. An aesthetic that closely aligns with all of my work. I have a running joke that in the typical Gemini fashion I have two sides. Fine art with editorial influence, and the emotion-driven storyteller. This two fuse together to create the style you see laid out across my portfolio. I like my tones neutral and images vibrant with authenticity.
The Wedding Dress
The dress is designed and hand crafted by the talented Alena of Alena Fede Designs. I sent her our mood board and she sent back the incredible design you see. The jewelry is from my own line of bridal jewelry, Callie Amara. Cody sports a gorgeous Calvin Klein suit. The end result is a unique, colorful southern take on a wild elopement.
