Pajamas Are the After-Party Look We’re All In On

Share

Does anyone not totallyyyy live for pajamas? On the reg, I love a comfy pj pant and an oversized nightshirt, but given 34-week preggo problems, I practically live in pajamas and/or yoga pants all day errrrryday. It’s a mood and I embrace it to the fullest. But as I was recapping my weekend wedding news today, I was sooo excited to see one of the most STUNNING brides ever slipping into the sleepy look for her after-party in Hawaii, and I had to make a big deal about it.

Keleigh Sperry and Miles Teller got married this weekend, and as gorgeous as the wedding itself was – thanks to a collection of creatives and wedding pros from Cali to the Aloha state – we were even more excited to see how these longtime lovers locked up their island I Dos. According to Vogue, who ran the exclusive on this elegant and enviable Maui wedding, the model and her man capped off their night with a “tropical jungle-themed after-party” at the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua Hotel and it looked every bit epic.

Take note of how fun this rager was. From DJ Kygo spinning to the glowing dance floor, grind-worthy jams a la J-Kwon and Miles and Keleigh’s relaxed final outfit changes – him into a Hawaiian printed shirt and shorts, her into a white embroidered pj set ((#basicbrides are the best)) – their LDWs were infinitely better than ours. Infinitely.

Reasons we’re all about pajamas for the post-party?

  1. Sneaks and shorties are so much easier to sport on the dance floor, especially if you’re celebrating from dusk till dawn like the #TellerIDo crew did.

  2. It’s a really fun and super inexpensive dress code to give out to your guests ((pretty sure if I was invited to a pajama after-party I’d RSVP with my yaaaas in record time)). I.e. no need to go out and buy another pricey ensem, come in your cozies.

  3. For the bride, it’s an opportunity to show off her monogrammed or personalized pjs that were either purchased for her bridal shower or [self] bought before the wedding. Keleigh rocked “Mrs. Teller,” too cute.

  4. When the couple can have fun like this, it’s just everything. And this is coming from someone who banned her man from wearing Hawaiian shirts like a decade ago… in circumstances like these, though, the cheesiness is 👌.

Just in case you’re feeling inspired…
