Nestled among the vibrant green hues of the Irish Mountains, lies Borris House, an exquisite historical beauty. Since 1731, Borris House has played host to innumerable parties and feasts, undoubtedly with a hint of intrigue on occasion. The guest experience begins as they enter the vast parklands, on approach to the house. Enchanting woods, home to wildflowers, a chorus of birds, and, who knows, perhaps a fairy glade, reflect the natural, almost ethereal atmosphere surrounding Borris House.

Our Bride & Groom are full of character. The natural world is important to them, whatever legacy we leave in the world, it must be a positive one. This is reflected in the venue they have chosen and in the styling of their wedding day. Everything has been chosen with consideration for the environment. The feel is natural, organic, with a hint of difference to mirror our couple’s unique personality. Indoors, we introduce a sharp contrast, the imposing structure of old, meets with a more relaxed, laid-back approach to life, as espoused by our special couple. We immerse the wedding party in hues of lavender and sage, soothing, natural and oh-so-elegant. This wedding day allows for fluidity, as the wedding party drift from mingling outdoors on a summer’s afternoon to dancing the night away indoors. Likewise, the styling of this wedding day takes outdoor inspiration indoors to share our couple’s passion for the natural world at every turn.

The floral design is delivered through the highest standards of excellence and is foam free. The lavender tones and purple haze roses introduce ethereal romance to the proceedings. While sprigs of lavender and sage delight the senses with their rich perfume. The abundance of flowers and foliage incorporated into this wedding design welcome memories of happy days spent in a summer garden. Our table is adorned with soft candlelight, muslin hand-dyed runners, silken ribbons with wooden cutlery to finish the look perfectly.
cotton + calligraphy
The wedding stationery is a key feature of the day, with the cotton hanging table plan and menus reiterating the organic focus. The design for the wedding cake was, in turn, inspired by the stunning cotton, calligraphy stationery collection and carries through the lavender palette. The overall style of this design at Borris House celebrates the individuality of our couple. It brings their personalities to life, amplified with simple decadent touches, to create the perfect ambience for their picture-perfect wedding day.
