Planning a 2019 winter wedding? Then you’re in for a real treat. This Scandinavian inspired winter wedding shoot styled by The Wandering Long Table and captured by Paisley Photography has some cozy winter vibes to get you started.
Greenery, pinecones, and furs add a nice bit of texture throughout the design, but our favorite part is definitely the dessert table with the ginger bread “cake” and cookies. A celebratory inspired photo shoot in the Heart of Calgary brought together with a mix of traditions of the Nordic countries and Canada on a Magical Winter’s Day.
As the authentic way of the Nordic countries, the day was Inspired by natural beauty, and being true to the concept of HYGGE. The idea behind the shoot was to give comfort, and joy, creating a mood of coziness and comfortable conviviality with feelings of wellness and contentment in a home filled with natural materials, flowers, candles, and a glass of glögg. With raw natural materials, tables dripping in greenery, fur covered chairs and an ambience of candles the space was perfectly set for an intimate winter wedding.
Winter wedding
Hosted in the beautiful home of Finnish-born, Calgary certified decorator, Cat Hackman. A layer of fresh snow wrapped the city over night. The sun rose and cast its beautiful beams of light on the tree branches drooping low with layers of thousands of snowflakes, all making for a perfect setting for a mesmerizing winter wedding. Magic and anticipation was in the air as Morgan and Clark celebrated their love, perfectly set in a Scandinavian inspired winter setting. Champagne bubbles, the scent of winter greens, the smell of gingerbread, the flicker of candles and joy and laughter filled the bright day with even more sparkle than the sun on fresh snow outside provided.
From start to finish the vendors knocked it out of the park for this winter styled shoot. It was absolutely stunning and an honor to capture.
