How To Have The Perfect Summers Day Wedding

Fresh clean and warm like a summers day, that’s the way this next beautiful summer wedding inspiration makes us feel. We follow a wedding couple as they frolic through golden fields and pose for portraits on rocks in the middle of a river. If that doesn’t sound like the making of a fabulous day, we don’t know what does.

All of this summer wondering culminates in a beautiful ceremony overgrown by lush greenery and a calm and quiet dinner set up next to a gurgling forest stream. You really are going to want to see every detail that Carrie Darling Events put together for this wedding shoot, so be sure to stop by the full gallery which is stocked with tons of images from Hunter Ryan Photo

The Inspiration

Wedding planner Carrie Darling is based in southwestern Florida, but she and husband Matt married eight years ago in the mountains of Asheville, North Carolina. In this organic photo shoot with photographer Hunter Ryan Photo, was staged along the river running through Carrie Darling’s parents’ property near Chimney Rock, not far from her own wedding.

Lush greens, hints of blackberries, touches of gold and soft shades of ivory highlight the land’s natural beauty, as the “bride and groom” skip along stones in the water and walk through golden grasses in a field. Carrie wanted to carefully curate a design that would gently enhance the setting, not distract or take away.

Some of the special details included hand-written calligraphy on invitations, vows and place cards, which were torn-edge blue Kozo papers with gold ink. A “floating” ceremony arbor dripping in green foliage and white blooms from Blossoms of Biltmore Park created a magical ceremony site.
