Romantic Weddings Just Got A Whole Lot Moodier And We Love It

Share

Elegant wedding couple holding hands ceremony flowers

Romantic weddings just got a whole lot moodier and we love it! This beautiful shoot styled by Jen Asaro feels moody, but also evokes a lot of the classic elements of the past. Her goal was to prove that beauty can be found in even the darkest of romances, and showcase the moment of “darkness meeting the light” materializing once the bride met her groom.

Mission accomplished as far as we’re concerned! This dark beauty is leaving us breathless. Don’t worry there’s even more to it then you see here! Check out the full gallery, photographed by Kristina Lee Photography.

Bouquets Are Out, Floral Boas Are In!

From Jen Asaro of Face It Sugar: The stark contrast between the shadow tones and the confectionery hues in the desserts created the kind of juxtaposition this highly romanticized era was known for, “Let them eat cake”. This complimented the dark quirk of a floral boa, as it’s not just a bouquet, but rather something you can flaunt.

Making Downtown LA A Little More Moody

From the vendors: Downtown LA, with its rich history, served as the perfect location for this type of shoot. It was an honor to work with such talented friends who believed in my vision. This day was nothing shy of pure magic.
