Elegant London Wedding Inspiration at Altitude 360

Share

High above the streets of London, amongst bustling black taxis and the Thames river is a stunning wedding venue known as Altitude 360. With sweeping views of the London Eye, Parliament, and many other iconic landmarks, it is a blank slate for weddings and events.
Here, with Jay Anderson Photography behind the camera and wedding planner Extraordinary Days doing the styling, a London inspired inspiration shoot came to life. See all of the classic London wedding ideas in the full gallery here.

Be Inspired By Your City

In this shoot, what we wanted to achieve was to show that it is possible to be inspired by a city and to bring it to life in a wedding or event but for it to still be elegant. We did this by keeping the color palate simple and by using symbols of the city that were chic themselves. For example, Beyond Vintage created bespoke miniature Big Ben statutes for escort cards that were painted gold to make them extra refined. Meanwhile, Florist 4 Weddings did a beautiful job of sculpting a table runner out of blue hydrangeas and The Finer Details again brought in our London theme in the menus with modernized London Icons.

Don’t Be Obvious

Anyone planning their own wedding could take inspiration from this shoot and apply it to their wedding. First, don’t be obvious in your choices! For example, many people would assume that in a London inspired shoot we would use red, white and blue. However, we used blue and white only. This kept the look more elegant. We could have mixed it up more and added peach as well which would have been another twist.

If You Have A Theme, Stick To It

Second, don’t simply use exact replicas of items. For example, don’t pop a miniature red routemaster bus on a table if you are looking for a formal wedding. Here, we spray painted the Big Ben escort cards gold which allowed us to keep with the theme while still making them formal enough for a wedding. Finally, choose your venue carefully. Here, Altitude 360 is the perfect choice for a London inspired wedding because through each window guests are reminded where they are by beautiful views of the city!
