Turquoise Warehouse Desert Wedding Inspiration

Share

Bride in white dress with gray belt and floral bouquet

Sometimes all it take is one element in a space to pop and inspire your entire design; that is just what this turquoise warehouse did for Abby Mitchell Event Planning and Design. The unexpected color caught her eye and soon she fell in love with the abandoned dessert character of the rest of the space. With touches of modern print and colors mixed in with antique pieces this vibrant desert wedding inspiration positively buzzes with fun ideas!
Don’t forget to check out the full gallery here for more vivacious ideas! This fantastic wedding inspiration was captured beautifully by Christine Bonnivier.

From Abby Mitchell Event Planning and Design:These colorful, sun soaked images are full of that vibrant desert vibe and (of course) people in love. From the Aztec print maids to the antique gas lamps in the centerpieces, this shoot is full of a modern gold rush feel.

One thing I truly love about this shoot is the venue. This turquoise warehouse is right next to an abandoned and rusty set of train tracks that used to run right through the middle of town. There is so much character in the environment it was hard to narrow down photo areas.

Southwest style wedding cake with succulent topper

We really wanted it to have the “down home” comfort of the Midwest, but also the modern spunk of the Southwest. The table scape reflects a rustic, tribal sophistication with bright chevron napkins, succulents galore, and golden hued glassware in the form of oil lamps and goblets. The oil lamps offer a more primitive feel and then the place setting just goes all out modern. Eeek! and don’t even get me started on the hand embroidered stools in hot burlap hues!

Each stool was handmade from start to finish. We hand embroidered colored burlap, upholstered the cushions, and then constructed and stained the stools themselves. Not only did we make the stools, but the napkins and all the paper products (menus and invite suite) were constructed by our staff as well.
