Theia’s 2020 Fall Bridal Collection: Inspired by Frida & Julie

Share

Woman wearing embroidered floral wedding dress on runway

The new 2020 Fall bridal collection from Theia is making waves this season! Not only are these dresses gorgeous, but they are inspired by two incredibly brave women: style icon and Mexican artist Frida Kahlo and Julie Helen, a friend and former Theia bride who bravely battles Cerebral Palsy. This line embraces women of all body types and backgrounds with sleek lines, flowing skirts with a fun touch of floral + ruffles. Enjoy some of our favorite looks below and catch the entire collection in the full gallery

words From designer

At THEIA, I strive to dress women who have different bodies and needs, to make them feel comfortable and gorgeous in their skin. Seeing Julie in her THEIA gown, feeling radiant and beautiful on her wedding day was a testament to what I endeavor to accomplish as a designer.

Our signature crepe dresses form the foundation of the collection, simple and clean silhouettes alongside gowns adorned with jeweled straps, lace appliques, and guipure trims, or a plunging neckline embroidered with pearls and micro-sequins. Our laser cut floral petals are delicately embroidered on soft tulle that gently stretches and cradles the body, while volume and ruffles in parachute taffeta, silk organza and tulle swirl playfully around the body decorated with flowers, like those that Frida picked daily from her gardens at Casa Azul.
