True love happens when you least expect it. In the case of Michelle and Mike, serendipity struck in the middle of a parking lot. Just as sweetly, their love and commitment to one another was celebrated on a fall evening in Belgrade, Maine; which was splendidly captured through the cameras of Craig Dilger Wedding Photography, and put together by Daisies & Pearls. Guests were warmly welcomed by the seasonal favorite, apple cider and scrumptious cookies to savor as they waited for the ceremony to begin. Miss Bella, sporting her something blue, acted as the official wedding greeter.
The ceremony took place along the property’s beautiful gardens offering views of the fall foliage. Kraft paper and lace ceremony programs were displayed in an apple basket at the end of the aisle, which was adorned with Mason jars of festive flowers displayed on Shepard’s hooks. Reserved ceremony seating was designated with bucolic pine cones. The ceremony arbor, along with all of the wood details, was crafted by the groom’s father.
Once Michelle and Mike’s marriage was sealed with a kiss, guests found their way into the barn for fun signature cocktails and a delicious picnic spread by Riverfront Barbeque & Grille. The barn was a sheer autumn delight with rustic crafts by Page Hill Originals. White birch ornaments acted as escort cards and wedding keepsakes.
Guests made their way under the reception tent for dinner and dancing. Grey table linens with burlap overlays acted as each table’s canvas. The centerpiece comprised of floral arrangements and a votive wrapped in lace, all displayed on a primitive wood disk. Table numbers were painted on fabric and framed. The finishing touch were bamboo plates and flatware wrapped with twine. Sweet wooden signage decorated the head table.
The wedding cake was displayed on a wood disk and topped with a fabric heart. Guests were treated to Maine’s official dessert, the whoopie pie. As the sun set the fire was lit officially opening the s’mores and cigar stations. Guests stayed warm in the crisp night air by the fire or on the dance floor
