Jesse Ruben’s Song Future is Stealing Everyone’s Hearts

Share

Just married couple walking down aisle smiling

Singer/Songwriter Jesse Ruben put out a new song, Future, as a love letter to his wife, but this song is stealing everyone’s hearts, and becoming the anthem-of-love for couples everywhere. You may know Jesse from This is Why I Need You, a personal favorite of mine.

When singer/songwriter, Jesse Ruben, performed his new song, Future, for his wife at their rehearsal dinner and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. On the anniversary of their first kiss (does it get any cuter?) he released the song to the world, along with a music video, that is making us all tear up.

Just as Covid-19 has affected so many bridal plans in 2020, Jesse’s music video shoot had to be cancelled as well. One day, in their little apartment in Brooklyn, NY, his wife, Jen Jacob, overheard the brainstorming session for a new plan with Jesse’s management team, and she had an idea.

She started rearranging their wedding video, along with editing together intimate moments from their almost decade-long-relationship. She even included a piece of the proposal and yes, that’s actually the real one. Their friends-in-hiding recorded it on their phones.

“The response to the song has been overwhelming,” Jesse says. “So many people have reached out to let us know that this song has rekindled an appreciation and adoration for the important people in their lives.”

Jen adds, “during this crazy time, when our future’s seem scary and uneasy, we hope this song and the video can serve as a reminder that there is still a lot of good to come.” We think we all could use a little big of that. Go listen to the song, the video, (bring tissues with you), and check first-dance-song off your to-do lists.
