Almost five years ago, I met Donielle & Nate through a volunteer program in Cusco, Peru. I’ll never forget sitting over mate de coca tea, full after an authentic dinner at our homestay, telling stories and talking for hours about our past lives and present experiences. Sitting on the bus, coming back from New York after our session, I was struck by how incredibly luckily I am that I have photography (and facebook) to help me maintain friendships like this one.
