Charlottesville Vineyard Wedding

Nestled within Blue Ridge Mountains outside Charlottesville, Virginia is where we are off to today. You are invited to peek in at the romantic and relaxed wedding of Jennifer and Jeffery, held at Pippin Hill Farms a custom-built winery wedding venue. This Charlottesville vineyard wedding venue is surrounded by landscaped gardens and courtyards overlooking a pristine valley. As you soon will see this venue is painstakingly pretty, and Eric Kelley Photography did an utterly fabulous job capturing it's natural beauty.
With a wedding this stunning you simply must peruse the entire gallery. There are a ton more pretty pictures of Jenn's beaded Jenny Packham dress and more gorgeous photos of their table decor designed by Beehive Events. Read on to hear more from Jennifer on her wedding planning experience.

NOT A DIY GIRLI also know that I am not a DIY girl. So, we found amazing vendors who understood the idea and atmosphere we wanted to create and let them be their creative selves. Lora Elaine made my skin and make-up look natural with a little extra blush for the blushing bride. Eric Kelley Photography made me feel comfortable with a camera in my face and captured every detail so beautifully.

CIRCLE CEREMONYOne of the first decisions we made when planning was to have our ceremony in a circle. The circle represented the continuation of our friendship and connection to each other and the people who have supported us throughout our lives. Standing in the center of all of the people who were there to love and support us made our ceremony really intimate and special. It gives me goose bumps just remembering how that felt!

A LITTLE TIPFor future brides, when planning the wedding gets overwhelming, and it will, feel free not to do everything. Towards the end we decided which things to let go of and just not do. If it didn’t give special meaning to our day we just erased it from the to-do list.

We kept things relaxed and wanted everyone around us to be themselves, and not to feel too formal or stuffy. We encouraged everyone, including our fabulous vendors, to do their thing and the end result was an incredibly intimate and romantic day that highlighted the realness of our love and our commitment to each other. Then we just danced, a whole lot.

Shawn at Beehive Events designed all the floral arrangements and was fabulous to work with. She understood how I wanted our wedding to feel and then expertly designed all of our flowers around that idea. Because she is so talented and so imaginative I didn’t want to be overly specific or over-manage her. I also love surprises and looked forward to building in a little surprise on my wedding day by not knowing exactly what flowers she would choose or what the arrangements and bouquets would look like. We just decided to see what was blooming really well at that time and go with it. And, I can’t tell you how pleased I was to see how everything turned out.
