Tuscany Countryside Wedding

Elisa and David’s wedding took place at the Villa Medicea in Pisa,Tuscany. A breathtaking wedding venue in the Tuscany countryside that dates back to the year 1000. All of the details and decor were designed by Elisak including the ring book you see below.

A clever twist on the ring pillow, both rings were placed inside the book and tied with a ribbon for safe keeping.  To see so much more of this Tuscany countryside wedding click here. All captured by Italian wedding photographer Cinzia Bruschini.

At the ceremony the two read a lovely poem from Erri De Luca name, “Two.”

When we’ll be two, we’ll be like sleep and watch, we’ll sink in the same flesh, like the milk tooth and its successor, we’ll be two like the waters, the fresh and the salt one, like the skies, nocturnal and diurnal, two like the feet, the eyes, the kidneys, like the heart beat times and the breath blows. When we’ll be two, we’ll have no halves, we’ll be a two that nothing can divide. When we’ll be two, nobody will be one, one will be the equal of no one, the unity will consist of the two. When we’ll be two we’ll change the name even the UNIverse, it will become TWOverse.

From The Bride On Justin Vineyards & Winery
Our wedding planning happened pretty easily. Jeff and I were living on the East Coast when we met several years ago. Over Christmas vacations, we would travel back to Los Angeles (where I grew up) to visit my parents and escape to the sunshine and warmth. It quickly became an annual tradition of ours to drive up to the Central Coast for wine tasting and relaxation, which is where we first fell in love with Justin Vineyards. When we arrived at Justin for the first time, the grounds blew us away. The location is secluded and peaceful – not only an escape from the big city, but even escape from the small towns in the area! It was a dream and when we went saw it we both remarked what a lovely spot it would be for a wedding. A few years later after Jeff proposed, we quickly knew that Justin would be our spot.

After selecting the location, the vendors were next up. I scoured website and blogs looking for inspiration for my own wedding and trying to match vendor styles with my own. I found April Flowers after coming across a blog that presented a wedding that I fell in love with. The flowers had a sophisticated yet rustic elegance, which was exactly what I wanted. The use of different textures and styles created depth and individuality and I knew then that April is who I wanted.

From The Blog on Her Wedding Vendors

William McKee the photographer was also instrumental in making our day so special. I found the photographer from the same blog where I found April. After several phone conversations and our engagement shoot, William quickly felt more like a friend and helped the day to feel so relaxed. Also, his work is so beautiful that we’re still having trouble deciding which ones to put into a book!
Niki and Jonnell of Events Redefined brought the whole thing together seamlessly. I had several vendors remark how thorough and well-planned everything was. They completely took the weight off my shoulders and made the day stress-free. Overall, we wanted our wedding to be a small and simple rustic wedding at twilight. (In fact, our wedding had only 35 people total, including us!) It was important to me to personalize our big day by handcrafting a large share of the decorations. My mom, bridesmaid, and I spent many summer evenings making burlap wreaths while drinking wine and enjoying girly conversation. Also, I’m a lace girl and looked for ways to incorporate it into the wedding. While not overtly obvious, there were lace-like details on the strung paper doilies around the cocktail/dancing tent and in the wooden clothespin decorations used on the cupcake table.”

A Sonoma Wedding The Viansa Winery

There’s really nothing quite as romantic as a beautiful Sonoma Wedding. Filled with wineries and fabulous places to get married like The Viansa Winery. A breathtaking Sonoma wedding venue – with amazing architecture, a great barrel room, and of course beautiful vineyards. You really cannot go wrong.

That is exactly what Catherine and Mike thought when they chose to hold their wedding there. Captured by  Northern California wedding photographers, Tinywater Photography, we know you will enjoy this lovely event. To see more wedding details and pretty photos of Viansa Winery, visit the full wedding gallery.

We love when the bridal party wears Twist Wrap Dresses. They look good on all body types and can be worn so many different ways. Looks like Catherine’s bridesmaids are wearing the  Twist Wrap Dress in African Violet.

So much fun for the groom and his men to incorporate their individual style into their wedding look and feel. Mike and his groomsman wore superhero shirts underneath their suits. A super cute hidden surprise.

Instead of a guest book. the couple had two Manzanita branches where each guest could sign and hang their wishes and contact information and bright orange tangerines displayed each escort card. We are huge fans of using fruit (especially if you can eat it) as escort cards.

Perfectly Peach Sonoma Wedding By Volatile Photography

New York residents Kim and Tom flew out to Sonoma last September to begin their search for a wedding venue. They wanted to have a California summer wedding, allowing their friends and family to experience Sonoma for the first time.

The couple had five appointments throughout their visit, but none of them felt like a fit. Before the couple headed to the airport to fly back to NY, Tom suggested they stop by Chateau St. Jean, even though they knew it was a tad out of our price range. As soon as they got out of the car, Kim looked at Tom and said, “Well, we have to get married here!” And that was how they chose their wedding venue. To read more about this Sonoma wedding photographed by Volatile Photography you must click here.

In place of a traditional wedding cake, Kim and Tom sliced into A single William Greenberg cookie cake. Also served, were black and white cookies resembling their cake which were from the same Bakery in New York. Guests were also treated with a Gelato station that served Honey Lavender, Salted Caramel and Chocolate Hazelnut. A fun, yet easy, dessert idea for you brides looking for a little something different.

Winery Inspired Wedding Ideas From Christine Olson Photography

We are so excited to share this gorgeous event! The bride, Sara, of onelove photography, is a talented photographer and a member of the Wedding Chicks and she actually found her photographer Christine Olson right here on the Wedding Chicks!

Sara made a beautiful bride and Christine captured the event perfectly. This wedding had a theme based on the couple’s love for vineyards and wineries. Sara and Mark decided to theme their reception after twelve of their all-time favorite wineries. Each table was named after a different winery, serving both a red and white wine from that particular winery. They ended up having 24 different wines featured at their reception.

Be sure to view the entire gallery. There are a ton of pretty photos.
