The super adorable Lori Ruedi of Paper & Thread shared this darling DIY Will you be my bridesmaid card design with us. Lori took a little road trip up to the WC Headquarters West Coast to show us what to do. Rani Lu also stopped by to snap all of the photos, thank you Rani Lu. (:
Supplies:
• note cards: 4bar folded cards in Luxe Fino Cream (pack of 20=$5.25)
• scrap piece of cream cardstock (4×5 inches)
• sewing machine
• xacto knife
• glue
• double sided tape or adhesive
• tulle
• patterned or colored paper (for dress tops)
• thread
• adhesive pearls

Step One: Cut out dress “bodice” from patterned or colored paper and adhere it to the front of the card
Step two: Using the knife cut out the skirt part of the dress, leaving the top “waist” intact. Pop the skirt away from the card

Step three: Cut tulle to about 6×8 inches. Using the scotch tape, tape the tulle to the inside of the card above the “waist” of the dress

Step four: Using a zig-zag stitch, sew the tulle to the card where the bodice meets the skirt. This will adhere your tulle and create a little belt for your dress

Step five: Remove the tape, pull the tulle through the skirt and trim it, using the shape of the skirt as your guide

Step five: Remove the tape, pull the tulle through the skirt and trim it, using the shape of the skirt as your guide

Step Six: Embellishment with an adhesive rhinestone
Step seven: Adhere a piece of cream cardstock to the inside of the card to hide the back of the dress and give yourself more writing room
