Kris and Bud incorporated so many awesome details from their relationship into their shoot. Kris made some cross a super cute stitch. Kris also included her grandmother’s old antique Bible and Grandfather’s blanket. They are huge music lovers, so they brought all their favorite records and Bud brought his banjo. We can already tell this wedding is going to be awesome. This Orange County wedding engagement was captured by Aaron Shintaku.

PRB Photos shared with us this fall Minneapolis, MN engagement shoot. Complete with a super cute couple along with some lovely little props that the couple will also be using at their wedding. Sarah, the bride also shares with us her inspiration below and some insider tips on how their engagement shoot came to life.

“I knew that we wanted to take pictures in the fall, since that is my absolute favorite season. I am a huge fan of vintage simplicity and just wanted to have an easy-going, lovely, and ridiculously fun e-session! I am going for the same look at my wedding and wanted pictures to match! I had my, Oh my…moment when I realized that a tandem bike was a must for our shoot- I mean, come on, how cool are those bikes! After figuring that out, everything else seemed to fall in to place. Many of those decorations I had already collected from the wedding preparations, and used various other items that I accumulated over the past year or so from friends, thrift stores and garage sales (or my mom!). The bike, which was from One-on-One bike rental, was found by my dad after searching hard core for a vintage inspired tandem- which is not exactly easy to find around here. Cupcakes and Izzys: you just can’t go wrong, especially when the cupcake is Red Velvet . I give full credit to a lovely, lovely lady at Anthro for helping me figure out which dress to wear with my shoes. Since the shoes did come first- I tend
to do things backwards like that. All in all, the setting was exactly what I had pictured. I couldn’t have asked for a better photographer (Shout out to YOU!!!), setting, and love of my life who oh-so-happily agreed to everything I had planned. It was an ABSOLUTELY AMAZING TIME!” -Thank you

Having Your Engagement Session Styled!

This particular shoot was styled from head to toe by the adorable Leigh Taylor Photography! How important is making sure your engagement shoot is styled correctly? Well… in my opinion very. Of course you do not need to show up with a personal stylist but that might be nice. But, here are a few extra tips on how to prepare for your engagement shoot.

1. Have your Hair and Makeup professionally done . You are paying money for your photos to be taken, so why not do it right?
2. Bring a casual outfit, think jeans and a cute top. Also try a more dressy outfit, think a pretty dress and awesome shoes.
3. Accessorize. Accessorize. Accessorize A cute hair piece, a gorgeous necklace, or a a pretty bracelet can make an outfit!
4. Wear what makes you feel cute, you will be happier and it will show in your photos.
5. Bring some props .. choose items that represent who you are.
