Hair Accessories Fun Tips & Tricks

Poppies & Posies teamed up with Jen Huang Photography to share a few fun tips and tricks when choosing your wedding hair accessories.

Hair flowers can be a really fun accessory for any occasion, but especially for your wedding! If you’re feeling crafty here are a few tips to make your own hair flowers…

First; if you’re planning on wearing your hair flowers outdoors try to choose a heartier flower that will stand up to the heat in summer months. Succulents, orchids, gloriosa, craspedia and some herbs such as rosemary and sage are all perfect options. If heat is not an issue try using peonies, dahlias, purple sage, or even mint!

Second; make sure to get all the necessary tools for your project. You’ll need small hair combs or barrettes, wire, floral tape is very useful and never underestimate a glue gun. A little dab here and there makes the construction much easier.

Lastly, get creative! There really is no wrong or right way to design your hair accessories.
