Special DIY details made by the bride:  I had a vision for our invitation suite that I was not able to find anywhere, so I decided to make it myself! Using watercolor and photoshop, I designed a suite that incorporated the flowers, colors, and style of our wedding. I've been painting with watercolor since I was very young, so it was very fulfilling to add that personal touch to our wedding. Another DIY item was my veil, which I made with my grandmother and mom.
From the Bride on the venue and the inspiration for the day: When you think of an island destination wedding, sandy beaches and seashells often come to mind. However, The Plantation House is located in the hills of Maui, on what used to be a pineapple plantation. Our backdrop was made of rolling hills, lush greenery, and pine trees with a view of the ocean and Molokai island in the distance.
From the Bride on the deocr:  I wanted the decor and vibe of our wedding to be romantic and relaxed, with an organic touch, pulling inspiration from our surroundings. The flowers were exactly how I had envisioned - garden roses and peonies in tones of guava, peach, and blush. The flowers were loosely arranged in gold urns on the center of each table with lots of greenery flowing onto the tables. As a nod to the plantation history of the property, we placed a pineapple at each table for the table numbers.
