I always knew my calling in life was science, horticulture, agriculture, agronomy and to throw a great party. I studied Horticulture, Pomology/Fruit Science and Animal Science at Cal Poly Pomona, with the intension to be a high school agriculture instructor one day. Things changed and I began my designing career in the nursery industry. I always found myself creating elaborate displays of pottery, plants and unique garden art. From there I began consulting and providing personal garden services such as design, maintenance and container planting. I continued to work in the wholesale nursery industry until I decided to start a family. Years ago I took some floral classes in high school which gave me the foundation, at least enough, to do a few friends weddings throughout the last 20 years. Four years ago I took a few floral design classes, a huge leap of faith, started Art with Nature Floral Design and it has been a whirlwind experience!
Art with Nature Design Floral Design concentrates on floral decor for weddings and special events. Our designs reflect the taste, style and individuality of our clients. We offer romantic, garden, elegant, simple, and modern designs. Our true passion is garden, vintage, modern and eclectic styles, but anything is possible! Our booking is limited to allow for exceptional service.
I am so thankful that Kim was a part of our wedding team. She was incredibly accommodating and understood my vision from our very first meeting. She was able to provide my dream wedding flowers within my budget. Many wedding guests raved that they had never seen such beautiful flowers at a wedding and I have to agree. She incorporated every idea and detail that I wanted and added her own amazing touches. She made a dream come to life and our wedding wouldn't have been as beautiful without her amazing talent and hard work!

Where to start. Working with Kim was like working with a close friend. She was so insightful, so easy-going, and so easy to work with. More importantly, she totally got my ideas. She listened to every vision that I had, took it and ran with it. Even when I didn't know how to express what I wanted, she apparently read my mind, because when I saw the end product on the day of the wedding, it was perfect. Absolutely perfect.
Kim is a busy woman, running her own business by herself. She was extremely responsive to my emails despite this, and was easily reachable. She even voluntarily met with my mother-in-law, who had some suggestions! She was extremely professional, and also worked well side-by-side another creative type. Her pricing was extremely budget-friendly in comparison to other options of this caliber.
Most importantly, the final product- it was gorgeous. So many flowers for what we paid for. Beautifully executed, magically displayed. All the guests ooh'd and ahh'd over every detail, from the place cards to the huppa to the cocktail tables to the reception, down to the cake. It was not overdone, nor understated. She took my vision and made it a reality, but it was way more beautiful than anything I could have imagined. I highly recommend her to anyone. In fact, I URGE you to hire her. You will not regret it. My pictures are beautiful. Thank you for everything, Kim. You are a one-of-a-kind artist.

Wow. Not only is Kim an amazingly creative and talented florist, but a truly genuine and cool person to work with. We got married in Orange County but live in the UK, and Kim was completely accommodating in helping us plan our wedding from abroad. We searched around a lot of sites looking for a florist that "got it" and wasn't just tacky and over-the-top in the way so many of the wedding vendors you encounter in the area are. She understood our desire for an understated yet elegant wedding, and even put up with our lack of direction (we didn't have or want "a color" which I'm sure didn't make it easy for her). Yet she was professional, friendly, and most importantly she created the most beautiful flowers I could have imagined. We both were very pragmatic about flowers... wanted simple, didn't want to blow a lot of money on them, and didn't expect much more than the bare minimum... yet when I walked into our reception venue my heart melted. She went above and beyond our expectations and I'd recommend her to anyone who wants a little more charm and personality than your average wedding florist can offer. Kim's anything but that!
