The Ultimate Fall Wedding

Pepper Nix Photography

When a wedding includes brightly colored foliage, a quiet mountain setting and a cozy log cabin it simply must be crowned the ultimate fall wedding.
We are positive that Shaun and Weston's lovely fall wedding day will have you dreaming of deep reds and brilliant golds. You can see even more of this spectacular day, captured by Pepper Nix Photography, by visiting the full gallery here.

Barefoot Bride

From the Bride: My look just kinda evolved from my personality and the only thing that I knew I wanted was that I didn't want to wear shoes during our ceremony.
So I started searching and turns out what I was looking for was a "Rustic" wedding dress.
After trying on a lot of dresses I ended up finding the one that made me smile and that spoke to my earthy yet kinda classic self.

As for shoes, I wore Sanuk ballet type teal slippers, they were just to get me down the isle, and then I slipped them off for our ceremony (I believe in being grounded by being barefoot).

Get Married At Your Favorite Place

The best thing about getting married in the mountains is that we get to be in our favorite environment, some times it means there could be weather and you just have to accept that and be willing to be flexible. The more flexible and relaxed the more you will be able to enjoy your big day. The ceremony borrowed traditions from several cultures, we used smudging from Native American cultures, wishing stones from a more broad spiritual tradition, and breaking of the glass taken from Judaism.

Accenting Natures Beauty

The decor was all about keeping with the naturally stunning location and venue we had chosen for our wedding. Log Haven is a rustic log cabin in the middle of the Wasatch mountains. So we wanted to keep everything rustic and authentic to where we were.
Sarah of Honey of a Thousand Flowers created beautiful center pieces with notes of colors that nodded to my love of turquoise, subtle colors that evoked a sense of the fall season. She also used glass votive candles that had a rustic influence.
