Pink And White Garden Wedding

Pink And White Garden Wedding

A year before the wedding, our next bride Keri blogged about her wedding on Engaged & Inspired and also on her wedding site, The East Coast Bride.  With all that planning and blogging, she knew that she wanted to create a “Garden Party” affair with classic details that was whimsical and chic. As you will soon see, she more than succeed in creating a more than memorable event for herself and Daniel. Read on to hear more from Keri and see more of this pink and white garden party in the full gallery. All photographed by  Cassi Claire Photography.

From The BrideI knew I could not DIY the entire wedding myself, but still wanted to achieve that handmade look, so I scoured Etsy for the perfect heartfelt gifts. I found the embroidered handkerchief for my mom, father of the bride cufflinks, hand painted hangers for my bridesmaids and even the groomsmen ties were ordered from various Etsy shops.

Each of the programs were bound with a different cover and sewed with a flap of burlap on top. My mom and I also sewed and stenciled burlap wine sacks to display as table numbers and I used the leftover burlap to create the ‘cards’ sign that hung from the vintage suitcase a friend found at a flea market. You can purchase the programs here from East Coast Bride's Etsy Store.

Our reception took place in an oh-so-gorgeous conservatory complete with glass walls and overflowing with plants. The conservatory is attached to an old and stately hotel and this beautiful venue offered everything we wanted to create our garden chic affair.

Having secured our dream venue, I set out to design our perfect day. We wanted the wedding to feel personal and reflect our style and lives as a couple. Including elements of tradition and family was very important to us both. The ceremony took place in the church I grew up going to and where my grandparents were married. Since all four of our parents are still married, we displayed their wedding photos on our escort card table. Ironically enough, our parents were married 8 days apart 29 years ago. Going along with the theme of tradition and family, we opted for an anniversary dance in lieu of the more popular bouquet/garter toss.
