Family Affair Wedding in Tennessee

teale photography

Do-it-yourselfers Liz and Leigh really wanted their wedding day to reflect their unique and quirky attitudes. In order to ensure their big day was truly their own, they chose to hire as many of their friends as possible to help. This "family affair" wedding at Green Door Gourmet is all about up-cycling and DIYing. We promise you'll love it!

From the Bride:Leigh (the groom) brought unique character and style to the decor by branding the wedding with his design – from invitations to programs to signage. We both adored seeing how each little deliberation cumulatively personalized a wedding that was true to us and helped set the stage for the joyful, vibrant and intimate celebration that we were after!

Wondering where Liz and Leigh found this lush green country side for their nuptials? Wonder no more! Green Door Gourmet is a unique farm to fork venture that produces and provides local artisan foods and plants in a farm-cooperative community setting. They are located within Hidden Valley Farm on River Road in Nashville, TN. Hidden Valley Farm serves as the perfect spot for agri-tourism and special farm events. We have hosted events ranging from small picnics and receptions up to a BBQ for 1000 people!

From the Bride:Liz’s (the bride) delight in re-purposing threaded the décor with hand-picked vintage accents (like an old tackle box displaying coffee supplies) and splashes of DIY projects (like sanded pallet-wood-centerpieces topped with paint food cans as candle holders).

We wanted to create an atmosphere of ease and belonging for all of our guests. So, it largely translated into a rustic chic “southern comfort” experience, tucked away on a farm with edible indulgences of a popcorn bar, barbecue, and a coffee-and-donut bar for dessert.
