A note from the photographer Little Bird Weddings:
The wedding of Justine Shaw and Ryan Evanoff was to take place on a sunny day in late August. As luck would have it, when the bride woke up on her wedding day the rain poured down. Their outdoor wedding was at the Fraser River Fishing Lodge in Agassiz, BC. Luckily the venue always keep a tent set up on the premises so they were married with the River and mountains behind them. The rain stopped just long enough to take some amazing pictures along the river bed and in the filed adjacent to the lodge.
The reception was filled with little details that accented the rustic look of the newly finished lodge. The guest book table had a vintage typewriter and antique blue mason jars were used as vases. It took a quite a few trips to antique stores to find all the details! Custom made cake toppers with painted to look just like the bride and groom.
The bride did many DYI details such as birch tree candle holders and custom stamped table number cards. Her favorite DYI project was little baggies filled with lavender buds that each guest was given. On the baggie it said “When the newlyweds walk your way, toss the petals and shout hurray”.
