With the Day of Love around the corner, Mark Brooke Photographers created an inspirational shoot for a Valentine’s Day Engagement Party! Another fabulous idea is using a vintage window for a favor wall, fill cute bags up with treats and place guests names on the bag. Conveniently doubling  up as a seating chart. We are also are head-over-heels over the cake backdrop, using a patterned fabric covered in paper hearts trickling down the wall while mirroring the the cake itself with delicate, textured hearts upon it. It only seemed fitting that we shared a little something from Portland since we just left the eclectic city. Captured by Diana Marie Photography and styled to perfection by Fleur:ology (who we had the pleasure of meeting at our little mixer.) All of this fall inspired wedding decor is surely to inspire you if you are planning an end of the year wedding celebration.

Loving how Fleur:ology mixed subdued neutrals with surprise pops of bright color, keeping with the fall theme but adding a little bit of sunshine to the overall look and feel. One would not normally think of baby blue and red as wedding colors, but this color scheme really does go well together as you can see from our next inspirational shoot. AMB Photo and Marry Me Productions found that perfect balance of creating a look that is relaxed yet fancy all the same moment using a little bit of blue and a splash of red.

I love the prettiest shade of blush pink as much as the next wedding savvy chick out there (it’s even a major part of my branding!) and I sure can’t resist a perfectly placed vintage detail, but in hopes of putting some fresh inspiration of there, my team and I thought a little outside the box with this shoot. Together we brought the idea of a New Years Eve dinner party elopement to life with some pretty chic ways to ring in 2012. With just the right amount of sparkle, a beautiful color palette of every shade of blue imaginable, and little nostalgic touches reminiscence of another new year (I swear confetti will never go out of style!) we couldn’t think of a more beautiful way to end a fabulous year while simultaneously celebrating sweet love.

From: Poppy Love Weddings on Intimate Beach Wedding Ideas

The ceremony area was my favorite part of the set up. It was purposefully kept bare and simple – marked by a modern lucite console table with large rustic wicker spheres (also from West Elm). Here is where I incorporated the canvas flags and added the vintage style glass ring box, adorned with a sweet banner that read “love & cherish”.

I wanted to create an inviting combination of beach rustic plus seaside elegance. I brought in subtle boating elements, like the canvas covered wine bottles, petite canvas flags, and woven components like the wicker spheres. I used indigo as my anchor color and as soon as I laid eyes upon the David Stark Brush Stroke dinnerware at West Elm, I knew it was the perfect fit. To soften the look, I incorporated soft romantic blooms in a *quiet riot* of pink and peach hues set into perforated metal containers for the floral centerpieces. I layered fabrics, included driftwood-type bench seating, and added comfy nautical print pillows.

A key ingredient of my design aesthetic is the mixture of high and low pieces. Because I focused most of my budget dollars on the impact of the place settings, I had to get creative with the other tabletop details. I found the batik print table runner in the half-off section of the Jo-Ann fabric store and was able to scoop it up for peanuts. Of course a trip to the craft store was in order, where I grabbed a few small wicker balls from the floral department and was inspired by the all the color and texture in the knitting department. I carried the pale aqua blue yarn detail throughout the design – wrapping simple glass votive holders with it along with tying the wedding bands together and it even made for the prettiest of bouquet wraps in lieu of ribbon!

The cake was dreamt up by Heidi and beautifully executed by Hilary of Eat Cake!! – a single-tiered cake of layered ombre ruffles. The complex yet airy ruffled design lends to the ethereal look of the day.

- Seek out what you love, choose subtle elements that convey those feelings and repeat them throughout
your décor.

- Don’t be afraid to mix prints and textures. Dressing a table is like putting an outfit together; excessive
matching is always tres boring!

-When meeting with your floral designer, focus your efforts in conveying your color and shape
preferences. Becoming too specific with exact blooms and shades can hinder the designer and the
completed design.

- Forget perfection! Instead aim for authenticity – there’s nothing worse then an over-produced event that
over shadows the true meaning of the day.

It is always fun to see what wedding professionals  are doing in other countries. Fibre di luce & Fairytale Wedding Planner of Italy sent over this Vintage Italian Inspirational Wedding Shoot. It’s complete with authentic relics from the past, including an electric razor and camera that belonged to the grandparents. All taking place in a vintage Bed and Breakfast in Rome. We set out to make a table that felt calm, soft, sweet, yet very glamorous. Inspired by serene winter colors and the radiance of the season Luxe Events created a dreamy scene bustling with sparkle, elegance and whimsy. Creams, blush, silver and gray make for a soft palette completely embracing “All is Calm, All is Bright”. Christmas is for bringing out the best and Blush Botanicals did not hold back on dangling crystals, silver dipped goblets, pewter vintage vessels, and crystal candlesticks showcasing their dreamy flowers. Dangling votives intermingled with crystal strands provide a magical mood for dinner guests. Elegant yet playful, white soft feathers were incorporated into the florals, paper goods, and tucked in each place setting. Brightly Designed brings the sweet words to life through the crystal- studded banner. Paper birds and hand torn feather wreath place cards add to the magical setting. Our real life love birds are caught enjoying the scene through the lens of She Wanders Photography.

If you are a little bid edgy and love lace, this might be the perfect inspirational shoot for you. Styled by Very Merry Events with Latin romanticism in mind along with a color palette of red, black and white.

The bride wore there different Watters gowns to transform her from daytime sweetness to evening glamor. Each look had a little black lace in it to keep the theme flowing. It might be hard to get three wedding gowns, but we love the idea of slipping into a party dress for the reception. You can see more Red Black And White Wedding Ideas in the full gallery. All of this wedding glamour was captured by Lilia Ahner.

The invitations were in both English and Spanish to give a nod to Latin romanticism. Always a lovely gesture if you are having a mulch-cultural wedding. To keep the red, black and white theme the flower arrangements were placed in bright white milk-glass bottles. Using only white and red flowers in all the arrangements.
