Yolan Cris Bohemian Luxury:

Bohemian lifestyles of the 1970′s in New York, rock and roll, art and hippie scenery, which were flooding the lofts of Manhattan. The collection is defined by pure seduction and distinction weaved with exquisite combination of silks, guipures, tulles, crochets, and patchworks of lace, which like a rhapsody of lights that mixes hippie style of the 70s with eminence of the Bohemian Luxury.

The Aztecs predicted that in 2012 the world as we know it will come to an end and give way to beginning of a new age, the new Sun.
Like the Sun, this ethnic and tribal goddess rises from the stones, corals, turquoises and gold above the blue sky and manifests her unique power and personal sheen with tulles, skins, feathers and colorful silks. The collection with clear hippie attitude joins the mystical spirit with modernism, the philosophies of east with those of west.

At the beginning of the last center, the brothers Lumiere created the first cinematograph. With this innovative and original idea they have become pioneers in what is known today as the Seventh art form.

The mute cinema, the jazz music of the 20′s the Bohemian way of life and vintage, inspiration by the classics, the preference for the new, originality and innovation fill up this collection with extraordinary creations based on mixtures of patchwork with crothet, macrame, applications of wood, nets, laces ect.

The Graces, in Greek mythology, three goddesses of joy, charm and bellaza. Daughters of Zeus and the nymph Eurynomem were deities who embody the grace, beauty and fertility. As if the most famous painting by Rubens is involved, the models wear a collection with these goddesses guipure fine jewels and embroidery, feathers, jewelry applications. Sophisticated luxury, elegance, ethereal, pure beauty, grace and exquisite subtle glamour collude with each other as if it were a mythological legend.

Meet Jon Duenas, photographer, and Holly Stalder, designer and stylist. These Portland artists collaborated on this modern take of a Pacific Northwest bridal shoot. A lush Portland, Oregon vintage estate is the backdrop for this bridal shoot inspired by a natural approach to polished sophistication. So pretty. Jon Duenas has a background in fine art and fashion photography. Shooting entirely with vintage film cameras, Jon’s style tends towards soft colors, overflowing light, and a vague sense of surreal nostalgia.

Holly Stalder is one of Portland’s most sought after gown designers. She creates an effortless glamour for her clients by combining modern lines with vintage flair. Featured in this editorial, organic cotton “Anemone” wedding dress paired with hand dyed vintage lace capelet with rhinestone closure. We think the entire shoot is simply lovely.

Today we have one of The Wedding Chicks’ favorite dress designers Marchesa. We are quite confident you are going to love the entire Marchesa Bridal Fall 2012 collection. Georgina Chapman wanted this collection to feel like an ethereal underwater fantasy, and she succeed brilliantly.

The collection has a little something for everyone. From a draped tulle number with an embroidered underlay, to a a few lacy short dresses that are perfect for a courthouse wedding.
