From IM Photo Studio:Noelle and James' wedding celebration took place at the Harmony Golf Club. The bride described this as the ideal location because it was located within minutes of their home town of Peru, NY, which is where their relationship began and flourished. The open pavilion provided the ideal back drop with views of the Adirondack mountains and Lake Champlain, as well as immaculate grounds with wildflowers and roaming wildlife.
Inspired by the surroundings, they incorporated natural elements and pastel tones into the decor and centerpieces, while also integrating personalized features such as photographs, a local musician during cocktail hour, a friend officiated the wedding, vintage postcards of places they traveled to together, and aspects that memorialized Noelle's father.
Read on to see how much this a nice day for a white wedding cost. Please note that costs change as the years go by, and prices are subject to change. This is just one couple’s breakdown to give you a rough estimate on how much a wedding like this may cost you.
Wedding planning advice from the Bride:
Our wedding was located near our hometown in upstate New York; however, we currently reside in Colorado. It was difficult planning a wedding from half way across the country without being home to meet with vendors and organize the details. Unfortunately, we didn't start delegating tasks until several weeks before the wedding. I would encourage brides who are planning out of state weddings to recruit their wedding party and family members to help with wedding preparation.
In addition, due to our busy schedules we did not make it home until 3 days before the wedding. This made things somewhat challenging, as we were attempting to cram several important aspects of the wedding into a short period of time. I highly recommend that brides attempt to finalize the details several days before the wedding to assure that you are able to fully enjoy the experience.
You also want to ensure that you are comfortable on your wedding day. So, consider a second dress and/or a comfortable pair of shoes. I am very thankful that I opted to get a second dress because my big ball gown made dancing difficult! I rented my second dress from Rent the Runway. It was a great option to save money on a designer dress.
Lastly and probably most important, the day of the wedding goes by so quickly and you will be pulled in some many directions by family and friends, make sure that you make an effort to connect with your husband throughout the day. I wish we had done an end of the night dance with just the two of us present. It would have been ideal.Budget:
