Are you ready for a trip down memory lane? Simply Put Vintage Rentals teamed up with Simply Jessica Marie to create this beautiful bridal shower inspired by nostalgic childhood memories of playing dress up and having tea parties. These memories were perfectly translated into an elegant bridal luncheon tea party with vintage decor and a romantic color palette of soft pinks, blues and creams with touches of gold.

From Simply Put Vintage Rentals & Simply Jessica Marie:Kelly of Winifred Paper did an amazing job setting the tone of our shoot with her beautiful letterpress invitations and paper goods that were inspired by soft roses and gold details. Once the ladies sent back their RSVP's, it was time to begin the bridal tea party!
We designed and styled the wardrobe section to be every little (and big!) girl's dream. The playfulness of childhood, romance of vintage and vibrance of laughter inspired us from the vintage suitcase full of flowers to the precious teddy Jessica adorned with a gold crown and bow tie. Every detail exuded loveliness. When dreaming up what the ladies would look like, we decided on soft curls and braids with a little vintage twist along with soft, romantic makeup.
The sweets station was just as lovely as the tea bar, with a variety of pink and blue sweets made by Sweet Melissa that adorned Simply Put Vintage's gold leafed sweets bar. Aren't those little Scottie sugar cookies adorable? The ladies took their tea and sweets to sit at a lace adorned table and found their seats by locating their names on place cards, which were personalized letterpress tea tags attached to gold tea bags.
Dressed in colorful Plum Pretty Sugar robes, the ladies giggled as they pulled various vintage gowns out of Simply Put Vintage's "Sydney" wardrobe, lined with beautiful Rifle Paper Co. paper. Their eyes glistened as they tried on large, gorgeous, vintage rings and necklaces from Palm Beach Vintage Jewelry. Color and texture were extremely important to us as we pulled together the look of the wardrobe area. We chose vintage pieces diverse in color and texture including the dress form, velvet gold tufted chair, gold and silver jewelry, dresses of lace, pinks and blues, and the light coral wardrobe. It was a dreamy afternoon.
When it was time to create the tea station, we knew we wanted the bar to be overflowing with teacups filled with soft pink and coral peonies and various types of teas from which the ladies could choose. One of our favorite details was the display of tea bags that Jessica hand painted with liquid gold leaf and strung along strands of lace that hung from the doors of the tea station.
After enjoying their treats, the ladies headed to the lounge area, which was set up inside of one of the many gorgeous rooms at Tatton Hall. Tatton Hall is a private residence in Raleigh, NC that was built in the 1930's. We choose to place the lounge area in one of our favorite rooms in the house, a sunroom complete with original blue and white chevron tile floors, huge windows that allow sunlight to pour in, and original exposed wood beams. We selected a white tufted settee and matching chair to be paired with a green and grey French chair, along with a blue trunk to complete the look. The girls ate petite cakes and sipped tea as they lounged in this beautiful room. The afternoon was perfect for our tea party, and we could not be happier with the sweet results!
