Trish and Hans both have a deep passion for music and were always competing for speaker time in the car This lead to their super cool teal and yellow tape deck invite. Do you love? As far as the rest of their wedding they, envisioned a look and feel that transcended time. In this case, it felt natural to leave it up to the past - oh vintage. Skeleton keys, teal bird cages and a variety of bottles filled with  simple floral arrangements. Keep on reading to here more from Trish on all the details and check out the gallery to see even more teal yellow and gray vintage wedding ideas. Captured by Korie Lynn Photography.

My bridesmaids and I wore TOMS wedges for the wedding! The shoes were so fun, but even more importantly, our purchase gave eight children in need a new pair of shoes! The thought makes my heart so warm! The ladies wore 100% grey cotton tea-length dresses. In my bouquet, I incorporated a handkerchief my mom had personalized for me, and my late grandmother's traditional Irish Claddagh pin. The guys opted on three piece grey suits (they all looked so sharp!), and suspenders and paperboy hats for the boys. Hans and his best man, his brother Marc, wore MG cuff links which they received from their dad for the wedding. Both Hans' mom and dad owned an MG when they first met in the 70's.

We love that Trish's son Skye played a major role in their wedding. He walked Trish down the aisle with her Dad, and we also love that he was incorporated in the cake topper as you see below. We also have to mention that Hans took Skye ring shopping with him to pick out Trish's ring. An amazing guy ... right? We also are so happy that Trish was able to use our Free Printables for her day of material.

Hans and I put a great deal of effort into our wedding ceremony. For several months, we exchanged ideas, literature, stories, and music, going back and forth trying to capture words that truly conveyed the love we have for each other, and also for our family and friends. We wanted to justly express our gratitude for all we have been given – so much of our happiness comes from the support and love we have received from our families and friends. It felt natural to ask them to read these pieces during our ceremony. And to incorporate both Hans’ and my heritage (Hans is part-Mexican and I am part-Cuban), on the cover of our handmade wedding programs we included a quote by Pablo Neruda, Chilean poet, in both English and Spanish.

We found our skeleton keys on BHLDN and couldn't resist the timeless, vintage feel of them for our escort cards. My mom told me not one single key was left behind at any of the place settings. And just last week, we visited a friend’s house and saw their key hanging from a door handle in their hallway!

Over the course of the year leading up to the wedding, we collected different sizes and shapes of clear glass bottles ranging from mason jars, to milk jars, to vintage soda bottles, even old fashioned medicine bottles for our centerpieces. And we purchased and painted different sized bird cages Tiffany blue to serve as the anchor for our bottle arrangements. We told our florist we hoped for an 'organic-vintage look.' She really captured our vision! The flower arrangements are one of a handful of favorite details from the day. And of course – the billy button boutonnieres were awesome!

The reception was a huge party steered by our DJ and Hans' groomsman, Ari Joseph. Our guests feasted on barbecue ribs, pulled pork, rotisserie chicken, and lots of other yummy goodness from Famous Dave's Barbecue. Hans and I knew from the very start of the wedding planning process that we wanted our guests to eat a hearty meal of good ol’ comfort food – after all, Hans and I were both born in the Lone Star state! And for our song – Hans and I chose a true vintage for our first dance: Dinah Washington's version of “Come Rain or Come Shine.”

The favors were so much fun too! My mom came up with the neat idea to give away tulip bulbs to all of our guests. She said autumn was the perfect time to plant tulips, and all of our guests would get to see the flowers bloom in spring. How could we say no to this lovely idea?! My mom and a close friend of hers crafted each burlap treat for our guests.
