From the Bride:Some of my favorite moments were walking down the aisle, both ways! We picked the perfect songs, "A Thousand Years" by Christina Perri and "Ho Hey" by the Lumineers. Specific parts of the lyrics on both songs just hit home and felt SO right. "I belong with you, you belong with me, you're my sweetheart." How can those lyrics not make you happy every time you hear them?!

There seem to be a ton of favorites from our special day, but I will never forget the amazing flower crown gifted to me from Kevin. It was absolutely gorgeous and totally my personality. I got to wear it for the reception and some photos and will also have it dried and hung to remember such an amazing day!

We were lucky enough to have such personal elements a part of our day like Kevin's Uncle's home brewed beer at the wedding, our brother-in-law being our Officiant, having the wedding ceremony and reception in my parent's yard, and having family speak and stand by our side at the ceremony. Family is everything, and it's important to share as much of the day as you can with them.

The months leading up to the wedding were fun and interesting as we wandered thrift and antique stores to find the right vintage pieces to make the wedding feel even more personal. You wouldn't believe the things you can find and create if you just have an open mind! It was amazing to see the tables come together so well and seeing everyone enjoying themselves during dinner gave us such joy.

The one thing I would have changed was to not stress about all the tiny details as much as I did. Our programs turned out great, but looking back I know I spent a lot of time trying to finish little details that were so minor. As long as you know you'll be marrying your best friend with friends and family surrounding you, nothing else matters. Just do what you can and be happy because the end result ends up being the same... you'll have a great time and end up being a Mrs.
