Origami Crane Wedding Ideas

Whether it be a 1920s roaring soiree or an entire wedding based around your love for the earth, themes and colors are across the board. The common thread is that we all want our wedding to be personal and represent us. For Heidi and Gary, it was their love for all things jazz and origami cranes. A symbol that was carried throughout the day, from the groom and his groomsmen paper crane boutonnieres to an elaborate paper crane cake topper.
Heidi has been making origami cranes since childhood as gifts for her friends and family. As a reminder of their love for each other and for their friends and family, an origami crane wedding seemed only natural. It also does not  hurt that Japanese legend promises that anyone who folds a thousand origami cranes will be granted a wish by a crane. Heidi and one of her bridesmaids made the bouquets from fabric and buttons to match their theme. We absolutely adore these fabric bouquets.

Steal worthy Origami Crane Wedding Ideas:
Heidi and Gary built their wedding arch themselves and adorned it with strings of white paper cranes. Their ceremony programs carried origami crane instructions as well as paper for their guests to do fold on their own. This was a fun touch as all through the day, people could be found huddled in groups trying to fold make cranes. Such a fantastic idea to give guests activities while they are waiting for the ceremony.

The origami crane wedding ideas continued onto the reception. With colorful cranes sitting on branches placed in glass cylinders. A rainbow of crane garlands hung from all the overhead lights. A colorful array of origami paper cranes cascaded down the cake and onto the table. As you see these tiny pieces of colorful art debuted pretty much everywhere.
