Natural rustic location

From the Bonnie Sen Photography: Amy and Conrad are a vibrant and adventurous couple! They are both athletic and really into nature as they both like to compete in Triathalons, nature races and anything outdoorsy. This theme of adventure and nature was very important to them when thinking about their overall wedding plans. The location of their wedding ceremony right on the Potomac River in Maryland and the reception was down a hill at an old barn that was dressed up fancy with fabric and a gushing abundance of flowers on the long farm tables.

The ceremony had a natural arch made of twigs created by the florist with flowers bursting out of it, and there was a special vintage, floral covered armchair to represent the bride's grandmother who had recently passed away.

After the ceremony the guests were invited to the pool area where there was rented lounge furniture, drinks and appetizers for the crowd. The couple joined everyone at cocktail hour and then led the procession, along with the bridal party and family, down to the reception barn. The escort cards were placed in old shutters and there was a bucket of coronas for guests to grab at their pleasure!

Warm, rustic vibe

From the bride: We wanted our wedding to have a rustic, warm feeling to it, and wanted to make sure all of our friends and family were there to celebrate with us. We weren't into the idea of too many typical wedding traditions, and wanted to keep it easy breezy, which I think we accomplished! Our memory of the day is warmth, beauty, love, and reminders of how many wonderful people we have in our life. One of the most special memories of the day for me was the ceremony, as we wrote our own vows and read them to each other in front of all of our friends and family.

Barn weddings are some of our most favorite venues ever! If you're planning a barn wedding then be sure to check out this next fabulous barn wedding here for more pin-worthy ideas.
