Natural Glam White and Gold Wedding

Darling bride and groom

After 6 years of dating, Jess + Tom decided to tie the knot with a beautiful outdoor ceremony that reflected not only their love for each other, but their love for the great outdoors. Their stunning venue, Mountain View Grand Resort & Spa, made the perfect backdrop for their special day which also featured pops of glam throughout.

There’s something about those sparkly gold Badgley Mischka gowns that we just love, but the bride definitely stole the show with her custom made lace gown from Grace Love Lace! We love it all, and we want you to see it all! So checkout the  full gallery for more beautiful images from Ayla Skorupa Photography

The perfect venue

From the bride: Since we hiked the forty-eight 4000-foot mountains in NH, the Mountain View Grand Resort in Whitefield, NH was the perfect location for us. The historic resort was founded in 1865 and is stunningly set amidst panoramic views of the White Mountains and sprawling green lawns. Our wedding colors were white and gold, a simple and ethereal yet glamorous combination.

Must-have details

For the ceremony, we chose Jubal Harp, a classical harpist and flutist duo, to complement our outdoor ceremony. I played the flute for 15 years, so the flutist was a must! Tom's dad was our officiant, which was one of my favorite personal touches. Our bridesmaid dresses were dazzling, gold sequin Badgley Mischka gowns from Rent the Runway. Our florist, Simple Bouquets in Tilton, was exquisite and created magnificent floral arrangements based off of our Pinterest boards.

Perfectly planned

The remaining details, including decor, our wedding favors, and invitations, I decided to DIY. After the ceremony in the lower gardens, we moved into the upper gardens for cocktail hour. Since we opted to take care of our formal photos before the ceremony, we were able to enjoy this time with our guests. For the reception, we moved inside to the Crystal Ballroom, a room as magnificent as its name. The wedding party planned a fun entrance for Tom and I which immediately led into our first dance. Afterwards, we enjoyed a three-course dinner at our sweetheart table.

Absolute dream

The entire day went off without a hitch, thanks to the resort's wedding coordinator. We poured time, effort, and love into making every detail of our day as personalized and beautiful as possible. The day was an absolute dream and we are so pleased with how our vision came to life!

Read on to see how much this Natural Glam White and Gold wedding cost. Please note that costs change as the years go by, and prices are subject to change. This is just one couple’s breakdown to give you a rough estimate on how much a wedding like this may cost you.

I don't have the exact $ breakdown since my parents paid the final bill. But here are the percentages:

Food: 44%5
hour Open bar: 17%
Venue: 9%
Photographer: 7%
Farewell Brunch: 5%
Wedding Dress: 4%
DJ: 4%
Flowers: 3%
Lodging: 2%
Ceremony Musicians: 2%
Welcome Bags, Decor, Invitations, & Favors: 2%
Wedding Cake: Included in the resort's food bill
Wedding day coordinator: Included with the resort
Groom suit: 2%
Wedding Rings: 1%
Hair, Makeup, & Beauty: 1%
Wedding Party gifts: 1%

We saved money a lot of different ways. Since all of the festivities, including the rehearsal dinner, the ceremony, reception, and the farewell brunch were held at the same resort, we did not need to pay for any transportation. We also did not hire a wedding planning as I had the skill-set to budget and plan the event own my own. I'm pretty crafty as well, so I created our invitation suite, all our favors, and styled & bought all of the decor myself. Pinterest was my best friend for coming up with awesome DIY ideas! Even though my wedding dress was custom made, it was very reasonably priced and came all the way from Australia - check them out: Grace Loves Lace.
