McCormick Home Ranch Wedding

Vickie loves crafting and come from a family of florists, but she knew she wanted to be a bride and not stress herself out with the florals. She hired Sharon of Knot Just Flowers and she was truly was her décor soul mate.

Knot Just Flowers and Vickie both love vintage and she brought the bride's vision of soft blush tones to all the florals. Together they came up with a cohesive design filled to the brim with little handpicked details. You must see more of this gorgeous McCormick Home Ranch Wedding from Marianne Wilson Photographers.

From the Bride:During cocktail hour, soft Latin music played while guests took pictures in our homemade picture station. One of my faves was the vintage beverage station including horchata and mason jars. Guests dined on upscale BBQ with hands down the best mac and cheese ever eaten. Our friends and family still rave about the food!

After seven years of dating, he asked me to marry him on Christmas Eve. The sweetest moment during his proposal was when he told my son he was marrying “us” as a family. My heart melted! We immediately began planning after the New Year and had only 10 months to put together our fall wedding. We were definitely working on a budget and knew we wanted our wedding to feel intimate, yet a bit casual and lots of fun.

We chose the lovely McCormick Home Ranch as our venue as we have a family connection with the sweet owner, Sally McCormick. We had lots of DIY elements from the escort cards I hand decorated and the flower girl basket and ring bearer pillow made with my grandmother’s vintage lace.

Looking back at our day, I wish we had opted for a sweetheart table instead of a full head table. It would have been nice to have our own intimate seating so we could relax and take it all in. Secondly, I would have offered a few fun signature cocktails instead of a full open bar. It definitely would have saved our pocketbook plus we had quite a bit of alcohol leftover.

Everyone knows I have a huge sweet tooth so we had the most fun putting together the eight foot long vintage dessert wagon. It included cakepops, piepops, and we made homemade caramel apple pops, s’more pops and Mexican wedding cookies. Our cake was a simple rustic cake resting on a vintage suitcase. Leo’s uncle hand carved our names on the biggest white pumpkin I’d seen - it was my favorite detail.
