As a member of an artist collective myself I completely understand the strength a united group of like minded individuals can give you. Beauty like this gorgeous beach inspiration has to be nurtured and given the creative space to thrive. The Rising Tide Society seems to be just that community. Filled with creative entrepreneurs and small business owners banning together to help bring a little more beachside wedding beauty into the world, among other things.

Creatives Unite!
From Laura Colby Photography: Take me back to this romantic & breathless shoot at El Matador State beach, in Malibu, CA. This Windswept Sea inspired shoot came together so beautifully and I could not be happier with the way everything came together. This shoot wouldn't be made possible without The Rising Tide Society! The Rising Tide Society “is a community of creative entrepreneurs & small business owners from all backgrounds & industries who have come together to unite for one reason. The Rising Tide Society’s mission is educating and empowering creatives to thrive in the spirit of community over competition”. Our creative team of vendors consists of individuals who are apart of the RTS community. I am proud to belong to a community I can always count on.
I was so excited to be able to work with so many amazing creatives on this shoot. We pulled inspiration from this stunning floral ball gown by Jaclyn Jordan NYC & used elements from the color palette to create a romantic, dreamy & vintage shoot highlighting beautiful light, Jennifer & Trevor's genuine connection & breathtaking florals by Honeycomb Affair to create a one of kind & unique shoot.
Windswept Sea Love
We chose El Matador State Beach for the location due to its unique elements. This beach encompasses long stretches of sand, sea caves, massive rocks, & breathtaking views and it was the perfect atmosphere to showcase Alicia “the floral ball gown”. It was quite the picturesque backdrop to celebrate this real life engaged couple, Jennifer & Trevor.
I got all giddy & joyful from Jennifer & Trevor’s emotions for each & every moment they were together. I felt their love swept over me. Jennifer describes their love story as, “our love has been synchronistic from the beginning. It seems as though the universe was giving us opportunities to meet – we grew up in the neighborhoods next to one another, we went to high schools a few miles apart, and lived in NYC at the same time & on the same street. Finally, a mutual friend introduced us and we met for coffee. We were living across the park from one another in Hermosa Beach, CA. It was as if we had known each other our whole lives. When we look back at our relationship we laugh because it basically started the day we met. The ease of being together & our natural connection felt like hello again."
