How many of you out there think that if you want a "pinterest-worthy" wedding, you'll have to break the bank to do it? Well, our next wedding is about to blow those ideas out of the water. Abby was sure she would have to do everything by hand if she wanted to keep to her budget, but with the help of Heidi of Ira & Lucy Event Design and Vintage Rentals her dreams became a reality. By keeping everything seasonal and creatively rethinking over budget ideas, this seasonal soiree wedding in Idaho is sure to change your view of thrifty ways to tie the knot!

From Ira & Lucy: Abby and Dylan married in Still Water Hollow's White Chapel surrounded by their friends and family. It was incredibly special seeing them together, especially since Dylan had been away for the Army Flight School. The joy and love was so evident.

What I loved most about this wedding is how accessible a custom designed wedding can be! We find that many brides, just like Abby, think that a "pinterest-worthy" wedding is going to be just too expensive.... Using seasonal decor helps save money! I hit up our local fruit stand for a box of apples for only $9 and pumpkins for less than $40 from a nearby pumpkin patch! We then spray painted the pumpkins in a variety of metals and softened the tone with a pearlized paint over the top.

Guests were greeted with our vintage farm window, standing over 5 feet tall, making for the perfect architectural element to display our custom signage. Candles were placed at the base to illuminate at night for added drama. The custom welcome sign featured watercolor design, which was accented throughout the entire event. From the welcome sign to the menus and place cards, we found watercolor to be an elegant and gorgeous way to pull in texture and play on the tones of the color palette.

We focused our styling around Fall elegance, yet kept a laid back approach, while incorporating some of the decor elements Abby had planned on her own. A Floral Design, by Flowers At Will, took the concept we presented and created stunning overflowing floral centerpieces in the bride's mother's vintage crystal Fostoria goblets. The floral design was accented with painted pumpkins, apples and gilded framed menus.

Abby and Dylan fell in love while in college, attending weekly swing dance classes at Boise's Heirloom Dance Studio. So, it was quite special to them to have the owner of the studio, Joel Hunter as their DJ and fun for all of the guests to see their dance moves!

We are in love with Abby and Dylan's alternative idea for a guestbook. They had their guests leave notes of advice and sign a quilt in their wedding colors. So sweet! Abby shared Dylan's love for vintage vehicles, so we surprised him with a vintage truck, provided by Vintage Rides, as the dessert display. It was a wow-factor for everyone!

Hot beverage bar, incredible desserts, and a sparkler send off ended the beautiful fall inspired wedding. It was truly a beautiful day and so full of joy and love. We were honored to be part of Abby and Dylan's wedding and feel so blessed by their love!

But wait! There's more! Keep reading to hear from Abby about why she decided to hiring an event coordinator and her experience with Heidi of Ira & Lucy.

From the Bride:Before Dylan and I were even officially engaged, we knew that we wanted to get married at Still Water Hollow. In fact, it was the first and only venue we visited! Brianne and Tyler were so wonderful to work with and were flexible with us, even allowing us to change our date when Dylan was unable to take leave from flight school for the date that we originally set. Since Still Water Hollow was already so beautiful on its own, we knew that we wanted the décor of our wedding to be equally exquisite. Since we were planning our wedding on a budget, my original plan was to create all of the decorations myself ahead of time and decorate the venue myself the morning of the wedding. I am SO GLAD that we found another solution!

Through the Bridal Social at Still Water Hollow, my mom and I learned about Ira & Lucy Event Design and Vintage Rentals. Mom was already hesitant about me trying to decorate the venue myself on the wedding day, and I was looking for another solution to my decorating plans. Seeing the designs that Heidi had created for the Bridal Social was all I needed to convince myself that it would be more than worth it to hire a professional to take over that aspect of our wedding!

Throughout the entire planning process, Heidi from Ira & Lucy blew me away with her creativity, attention to detail, and flawless ability to pull our desired look together. Another aspect that was very important to Dylan and I was staying within our budget, and Heidi was incredibly mindful of that—she found cost-effective ways to create dramatic décor elements, and suggested thrifty alternatives to ideas that were over our budget. During the weeks leading up to the wedding, Heidi kept me updated on the projects she was working on for us—custom signs, dessert flags, centerpiece ideas—but kept some parts of the design a secret so Dylan and I would have little surprises on our wedding day.

Knowing about Dylan’s passion for old vehicles, she even arranged for our dessert station to be set up on a vintage pickup truck! And on the day of the wedding, she and her team worked tirelessly to make sure that our ceremony and reception spaces were flawlessly designed. She also coordinated with our photographer to make sure that Dylan and I would have photos of all of the little details that we might not have time to focus on during the day. Of all of the positive decisions that I made regarding the wedding, the decision to hire Heidi and hand off my wedding décor to her is second only to my decision to say yes to Dylan’s proposal in the first place! We are so grateful to Heidi for creating such a lovely day for us and for being such a wonderful friend to both of us throughout our wedding planning process.
