Elegant Wedding At The Inn At Rancho Santa Fe

Zelo Photography

The bride and groom went to the same college and lived in the same dorm, on the same floor, a few doors down from each other and somehow managed to escape meeting or even seeing each other for four years. However, two years and 6 months later at a Christmas party thrown by mutual college friends they met. Fate stepped in and the rest is history.
They envisioned a garden wedding so The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe couldn't have been a more perfect venue! Market lights, votives, soft candlelight and lots of soft-colored flowers. In two words, rustic elegance, superbly designed and executed by Couture Events. View all of the fabulous details in the full gallery here, all flawlessly captured by Zelo Photography.

From the Bride:Seeing something that is just an idea of a color scheme come to life and evolve into the most wonderful day of your life is just on a different level of satisfaction because everything is perfect to you as a couple. We had an amazing florist (Posies Flowers) who just took what we wanted and executed flawlessly. We really were blessed with the most amazing vendors and relying on them for their expertise took our vision to the next level.

The bridal party wore champagne Amsale gowns. The groom commissioned the father-of-the-bride to have his Tailor in Hong Kong create custom tan suites for his groomsmen! Pink ties added a great pop of color.

The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe has a breathtaking garden/lawn overlooking the village. The landscape is drenched in roses and beautiful greenery so we really did not need much from a floral perspective. We were married under a very old Brazilian pepper tree with an array of vintage-inspired lanterns that ranged in style and texture. The groom's father officiated the wedding and delivered a very thoughtful and personal ceremony where he described how he has seen his son evolve into the man he is today with help from the love of his bride.

To play towards the "rustic elegant" theme of the wedding, the bride and her Mom made a vintage-inspired escort card display from a door found in a salvage yard and antique-style skeleton keys. We had our calligrapher write on a plaque "The Key to Your Seat" and tied hand-stamped escort cards onto the keys and hung them on nails that were placed on the door. The reception started in an intimate courtyard lined by market and twinkle lights along the hedges. The color-scheme was champagne, ivories, and pale pink.

The groom has worked with Cutco Cutlery for over ten years and considers many of his colleagues as family. So it only seemed fitting that they somehow incorporate the world's best cutlery into the wedding. So, as the wedding favor, guests received Cutco table knives wrapped in boxes with tags that said "Your Love is a Cut Above. Thank You!" We caught a few guests perusing empty tables looking for knives that may have been forgotten as things started to wind down!
