Classically Beautiful Montecito Wedding

Classically Beautiful Montecito Wedding

There is so much to envy about this classically beautiful Montecito wedding. The striking Amsale wedding gown, the precious gold bow Valentino shoes, the floor length Monique Lhuillier bridesmaid dresses, and not to mention the romantic white and green florals.
The list is endless, but most of all we adore the photographs captured by Pat Moyer Photography. From start to finish we felt like we were with Casey and Shane at their Birnam Wood Golf Club wedding. The precise reason why Pat is part of our Hand-Picked collection. See his Hand-Picked page here. Read on to hear more from the bride and of course click here to see more pretty pictures from Pat.

From The Bride:

The inspiration for our wedding really stemmed from a floral arrangement that my grandmother saw at a luncheon. It had large, soft, cream flowers with eucalyptus leaves. As soon as I saw it, I knew that those were the flowers that I wanted to incorporate. However, more than anything, what was important to me was a feeling that guests would have at the wedding. I wanted them to walk away with a sense of warmth and love. The color palate was one of neutrals - creams, tans, greys, and golds. There were not any specific wedding colors and there wasn't really a theme as you see in a lot of the blogs right now.

The day of the wedding, the men headed off to Montecito for morning shaves while the girls and I leisurely got ready at my grandmother's house. We were married out on the 10th fairway of the golf course. The ceremony could not have been more perfect! It had all of the elements that Shane and I wanted and it was really personalized. We received so many compliments on the ceremony the did the night of the wedding and afterward. We were also blessed with absolutely perfect weather. It really, truly could not have been a nicer day!

After the ceremony, Shane and I took a ride on a golf cart with champagne and appetizers for about 10 minutes while the guests headed to the cocktail hour. It was so nice to be able to share a few moments together before the night started. Dinner was held outside on the terrace. I think that the soft and free form flower arrangements, candles and string lighting really created a warm environment for guests to dine and dance. A little later in the night, the bourbon bar and the french fry bar opened and it seemed to be a big hit with the guests.

Afterward, Shane and I agreed that the most touching part of the day was the outpouring of love and support from family and friends - each of whom made a huge effort to share in our wedding day celebration. Had it poured rained or the cake fallen over, it would not have mattered as we were surrounded by our closest loved ones.
