When Ryan and Melissa got engaged this past December Melissa quickly started planning. She knew from the start she wanted a location with a barn. So when they came across the Camarillo Ranch House they knew that was the place. May 31, 2013 was the day. Which didn't leave a whole lot of time to plan. Thankfully with the help of family and friends all of those details came together and made for what was a truly special day to remember. The overall theme of the wedding was a chic vintage feel with a little bit of glam. The color pallet of blush pinks, gold and cream came together so naturally.

From the Bride:I am a visionary person and love to be creative. So I knew I would be really hands on when we started planning. Our project list grew very quickly and at one point during the planning I thought I had overloaded myself and family with an epic to do list. However it all worked out! The flowers really enhanced the color pallet well. With the soft blushy tones and creams it really brought everything together. Probably because they are my favorite colors. The bridesmaids wore different soft shades of blush pinks and champagne. They were all so beautiful!
When guests arrived I wanted them to feel welcome. So we had a self serve lemonade station set up. We used my great grandmothers dresser and vanity to display everything. Vintage milk glass vases with flowers and an abundance of lemons were placed all through out. Guests could fill their mason jars and sip on cute paper straws while waiting for the ceremony to start. Guests wrote love advice for the bride and groom and pinned the notes with a gold clothes pin.
Our ceremony site was my favorite. Ribbons were tied on the backs of chairs mason jars hung on shepherded hooks lining the isle and a wooden Program in which my dad made us and I hand wrote greeted you upon taking your seat. We stood on a wooden platform my mother made under a beautiful tree and a lovely alternative chandelier with flowers and mason jars swayed above us as we said our vows. We also incorporated a celtic hand fasting blessing in which my sister tied the ribbon.
I knew when picking the barn that I didn't want the wedding to be too rustic so we hung draping and chandeliers on the inside of the barn and framed the barn entrance with more draping as well to create that chic-glam look. The tables were simple and elegant set with gold leaf chargers and flatware and in the center of the gold charger was our dinner menu. The flowers were beautiful airy arrangements that sat in clear glass vases.
Our sweetheart table was just lovely. We used an old table with a metal top and sanded the sides and did a little painting to freshen it up. We sat in adorable upholstered chairs with "Mr." and "Mrs." Signs placed on the back with a floral garland to hang over them. Right behind us was a simple but beautiful wreathe of eucalyptus leaves and babies breath that hung with a simple ribbon.
When the night was coming to a close I was actually looking forward to it. Simply because we did a sparkler send off. It made for such a sweet exciting end to the night. Seeing all of our guests wish us well!
Looking back on the day as a whole I have to say I wouldn't have changed a thing. It went so perfectly. We did such thorough planning and I had such an awesome coordinator, Emilee Sutherland from Tasteful Tatters, there is nothing I would have done differently. Except maybe one thing and that was doing my own hair when getting ready. Sarah, from Lipstick and Bobbi Pins, did my make up which was awesome and it would have been nice to have had someone do my hair. I did love my hair though so it all turned out!
