A New York Winter Wedding

New York Wedding

Jim and Adrianna fell in love during a snowy winter in New York five years ago! Because of this they wanted a wedding that reflected the wintery romance and warmth you can feel in New York City, even during the coldest days of the year.
To achieve this cozy and romantic feel they chose to host their wedding at the gorgeous Bowery Hotel for their closest family and friends. Curl up, get warm, and peruse the full gallery of a new york winter wedding here, captured by Caroline Frost.

Words from The bride

My best advice for future brides: Invest more in making yourself happy than in making yourself beautiful. Although there is so much focus on how you'll look on your wedding day, how you feel is so much more important. Don't spend precious moments getting hair and makeup touch ups when you can be hugging your parents and friends or smooching your beloved. It was drizzling on our wedding day and against the advice of our families we snuck outside for a few photos in the mist. Those moments on the street are my favorite pictures from our wedding day. They captured the spirit of how we felt in our favorite city...among busy streets and uncertain weather, there is a feeling of promise like anything is possible. These were the streets where we fell in love and that sentiment was alive and well on our wedding day. So worth the flyways and frizz that came with it.

The dance floor was full the entire evening with a spirited and fun-loving group. Guests clapped when we danced our first dance to “Ho Hey” by the Lumineers with an extra shout from the crowd when the band sang “I’d be standin’ on Canal, and Bowery. And she’d be standin’ next to me.”

We loved the setting because it felt elegant without being uptight and we knew the warm space would set the perfect tone for a party that reflected our closeness and the love we have for everyone that would be there celebrating with us that night. During the evening guests drank the “The Holy Matrigroni” an homage to our favorite cocktail, the Negroni, and were seated at tables named after all the locations where we have lived during our lives.
