Red And Gold Family Farm Vow Renewal

a vow renewal to remember

Debbie and Rick share a beautiful love story. They met while in graduate school both pursing their doctorate degrees in Biology and married shortly before both received their PhDs. Twenty years later on their farm in Northern Minnesota, Debbie and Rick renewed their vows among family and friends with their children by their sides.
This red and gold family farm vow renewal, designed by Panache Event Planning, is charming and quaint, and full of love. See more of their fabulous ideas in the full gallery here, photographed by Purrington Photography.

DIY Pergola Via The Groom

The bride wore a champagne sheath gown of lace and sequins and the groom and boys were coordinating shades of ivory, grey, and khaki. Chalkboards led the way to where vows were renewed under a pergola built by the groom on the home’s patio surrounded by wildflowers and trees. Guests milled around the farm and enjoyed cocktails prior to (and even during!) the relaxed, joyful, and sentimental ceremony. On display were the bride and groom’s wedding album and the photographer beautifully created some of the original photographs.

Drinks For All!

Cocktail hour occurred overlooking horse pastures and barns with a gorgeous view of the sunset. The bar was placed under trees with beverages in old galvanized tubs and flavored water and lemonade set on the bride’s grandmother’s sewing machine table. Unexpectedly, a chandelier hung overhead. During cocktail hour, children fed horses and ducks, played with puppies and kittens, ran through trails encircling the farm, and giggles and laughter could be heard as they played lawn games. An area was set up with juice boxes, water, and snacks for hungry kiddos.

Mix And Match Table Numbers

Dinner ensued under a tent decorated in a mix of country charm and uptown elegance in colors of ivory, gold, and burgundy. Overhead a large floral arrangement hung from the ceiling of the tent created from roses, larkspur, and amaranth. Centerpieces were unique to each table and ranged from blooms tucked in the bride’s silver tea service to formal pedestal arrangements. Table numbers were created using books, mason jars and even painted vintage plates.

Dance Beneath The Stars

Chandeliers and initials of the bride, groom and their children hung in gold for a personal touch. Guests sat in chiavari chairs at tables covered in linens of different shades and styles of golds and champagnes. All china used was vintage, belonging to several generations of family. After dinner the family celebrated even further by dancing barefoot under the stars until the wee hours of the morning. It was a truly special occasion symbolizing love, commitment, and the beauty of family and friendship.
