Farm to wedding

From Amy Gray Photography: Angela and Jon's shared passion of organic farming was the theme throughout their wedding day. It was important to both Angela and Jon to have a hand in every detail of the day and for each aspect of their wedding to be intentional.

The bridal party's unique bouquets, flower crowns and boutonnières were made by Bri Kern, a bridesmaid. Bri incorporated fruits and vegetables, some of which Jon and Angela had grown and harvested themselves.

Vintage finds

In keeping with the desire to be eco-friendly, Jon's wedding attire was made up of vintage finds, including his purple camel hair jacket! Most of the bridal party also chose to wear vintage or pre-owned garments.

Canned + stitched with love

Jon and Angela spent months growing, preserving and canning different foods for guests. From peach jam, to salsa, to sauerkraut, these canned treats served as beautiful place cards as well as wedding favors for guests. On top of each jar was an embroidered fruit or vegetable that Angela's sister spent months designing and sewing herself, bringing them along with her all the way from Australia.

Be clear with priorities

From the bride: Experience is worth more than perfection, leading up to our wedding we chose to spend time with friends and family over organizing some of the smaller details of the day. A challenge was continuing to plan while our guests were in town, we recommend keeping balanced by being clear with your priorities. Be in the moment, breathe, and remember you're getting married!! PS. The ring goes on the left hand ;)
