Soft And Sweet Pink Wedding

beautifulweddingfirstlook

Alyssa had a vision of soft pink in her mind, and with the lush florals including the large arch over the altar to the bouquets to the centerpieces, the soft pink creation came to life perfectly with the help of Uptown Grocery Company.
This beautiful soft and sweet pink wedding serves as a reminder that change can indeed be a wonderful thing. We'll just say this, lots of their guests got stuck in rush hour traffic and the couple had to figure out what to do. Keep reading for the full story with a happy ending. Plans Change, And That's OK

Alyssa was drawn to the look of film photography while searching for photographers, and knew she wanted Sheradee Hurst to capture her day on film. Alyssa wanted to do a first look from the beginning, but Jared didn't. Throughout the engagement, she was pulled to do that, but ultimately decided they would not do a first look. However, that isn't the way their wedding day happened. Sometimes even after a two and half year engagement, plans have to change...

The Guests Are Late!

On the wedding day, Alyssa put on her gown made for a princess, and finished every last touch. The wedding was on a weekday right around rush hour. The stage was set and everything was ready, except one major component...the guests! Alyssa and Jared's phones were ringing non stop about a half hour before the wedding as a traffic event, in the middle of rush hour, was tying up numerous guests from arriving at the venue.

The First Look

Alyssa and Jared made the decision to delay the ceremony thirty minutes so that all of those important guests could make it to the day they had been planning for years. In that moment, Alyssa realized, that if they delayed the ceremony, the sunlight would be gone for their portraits together after the ceremony. The realization that all of their couple portraits would have to be lit with artificial light made a decision for her. She opted then to have a first look. Jared agreed. The two had their private first look in a golden sunset that created the perfect background.

Benefits Of A First Look

It was a memorable golden sparkle peeking through the trees at The Springs Events-Chisholm, and neither Alyssa or Jared regretted it. In fact, they were relieved it turned out that way and that they were able to hold each other and kiss for a few moments before the guests arrived. And after they saw the golden hour portraits that were shot on film, it reinforced their decision.

Coffee Bar Anyone?

The wedding ceremony went on as planned, although delayed, and guests enjoyed a fabulous coffee bar by Evoke at the reception to warm their hearts and wash away any rush hour memories. Who can be in a bad mood about traffic when you are eating wedding cake and sipping on custom coffee drinks with white frothy hearts on top?See the magic of the day unfold in the video below, filmed by Alumni Productions.
