Cedarwood Wedding Dreams

From Cedarwood Weddings: Marissa is the wedding director at Historic Cedarwood, and has seen her share of fabulous weddings. When it was her turn to tie the knot (at Cedarwood of course), she wanted a romantic, classic wedding featuring Marsala, the Pantone color of the year.

She says, “I am not a blush girl or a wildflower girl. I like bold and different and elegant all mashed up into one!” Mark and Marissa‘s gorgeous-glam Marsala wedding did feature a little bit of blush (especially in her gorgeous wedding gown!)

Honor Your Roots

With the help of the Cedarwood design team and a crew of New Orleans friends, Marissa and Mark’s wedding was perfectly personalized and honored their Louisiana roots. The Cedarwood barn was turned into a ‘sports bar’ for cocktail hour paying homage to the home town teams they love.

Celebrate With A Parade

Mark and Marissa treated guests to Louisiana sweets as favors and even led guests in a ‘second line’ parade from the altar to brass band accompaniment, signifying the beginning of their life as bride and groom.
