DIY decor
Our wedding was honestly everything we hoped it would be, and definitely reflected who we are as individuals, as well as who we are as a couple. I’m a huge DIY-er, and we made and put together the majority of our wedding decor, from re-fininishing all of the furniture to making and hand-lettering all of the signage.
love story
Our overall theme was “Love Story” and we incorporated book-related items throughout the wedding, including vintage book centerpieces, book page hearts thrown by the flower girls, and I wrote the cupcake menu in a large book.
Ultimate dessert bar
I loved the idea of a dessert bar, so we had family and friends bake cookies, and we ordered mini pies, cupcakes, and a sweetheart cake from our favorite local businesses. My husband’s grandfather has an old Model A classic car that they’ve bonded over since he was young, so we incorporated the car in our wedding and photos as well, which was really a special piece of our day.
